It is with heavy hearts that ESPS sends deepest condolences to the family of Deputy Glenn Hilliard and to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Hilliard was a hero and role model. He volunteered with our “Shop with a Cop” event. He had a great sense of humor, a big smile, and brought joy to all those around him. We also send our gratitude and appreciation to the first responders across the Eastern Shore of Maryland for willingly facing danger to keep others safe. You are in our hearts.

Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month some of our Salisbury-based staff will partnering with the Ward Museum on Saturday, May 21st from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to talk about creative mindfulness and the link to mental health, as well as the kind of programming we offer.

Drop in Art is a free art program for all ages, held every third Saturday at the Ward Museum in Salisbury, Maryland. 🖌🦆

This Saturday from 10am - 1pm, artist and educator Erika Schlorb will be leading our monthly Drop in Art program. She will be teaching how to carve reliefs from plaster. A variety of stencils will be provided to help with your design, or you're welcome to freestyle and carve whatever you wish!

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, our friends from Eastern Shore Psychological Services, LLC will be at the museum to share how engaging in art programs - just like Drop in Art - are beneficial for your mental health!

Drop in Art is supported in part by the Susan Kathleen Black Foundation

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

"One of the best ways to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month is by talking about it with your peers. The more you talk about it, the more normalized it will become. This is one of the aims of the month as the stigma attached to mental health has led to countless delays in treatment AND research on the matter."

Honor your and others’ minds by spreading awareness about mental health this May.

Dr Kathy is presenting the CARE2 at NatCon. This standardized risk assessment and evidence based treatment planning has been well received. Some behavioral health professionals arrive stating that not only are we exactly what they came to the conference to find, but also we are the only option here.
