Since May, our First-Thursday Free Community Class Series has brought fresh energy (and fresh faces!) into the studio. 🌿 We wanted to give our regulars a chance to keep their Thursday 7 pm yoga rhythm alive and invite our Forum neighbors to roll out their mats at SoFul to complement their gym gains. Forum Members--remember you receive 40% off SoFul drop-ins along with 5- and 10-class passes!

In just four months, we've seen nearly 100 of you take advantage of these classes with 38 new yogis stepping into SoFul for the very first time — and we’ve loved every moment of sharing breath, movement, and community.

This month, Amanda offered her first-ever heated Pilates, and the room was full with all of you, big energy, and lots of sweat! Haven’t joined us yet? Your next chance is Wednesday, September 4 at 7 pm with Erin for a mixed-level flow — and yes, it’s completely free. A mixed-level flow is a structured, all-levels class designed to synchronize movement with breath, fostering both strength and flexibility. Suitable for practitioners of varying experience, this class offers adaptations to accommodate individual needs. All levels welcome.

🌞 SoFul Summer Bingo Champions! 🌞

From the summer solstice through August 2, our SoFul students took on our six-week Summer Bingo Challenge with grit, grace, and a whole lot of good vibes. They rolled out their mats, cheered each other on, and waited patiently (okay, maybe not so patiently 😉) to see which wooden marble their teacher would pull from the bingo bag each class.

All that dedication paid off—and now it’s time to celebrate! 🥳 After a summer of showing up with heart and consistency, we’re thrilled to announce our SoFul Summer Bingo winners:

🌟 Student Spotlight: Mark Snyder 🌟

If you’ve shared space with Mark Snyder, you already know—his energy is contagious. A high-vibe kind of guy with a background in spin instruction, Mark brings his upbeat, enthusiastic spirit into every class he attends at SoFul.

Whether he’s powering through a strong flow or finding stillness in a quiet moment, Mark shows up with heart, humor, and an inspiring commitment to his practice. We love the light he brings to our sweet little studio and the way he uplifts those around him—on and off the mat.

1️⃣ How long have you been practicing yoga and what do you love about the practice?
➡️ I've been practicing yoga for many years on and off, but I've been in a more frequent and serious mode for about four years. What I truly love about it is how it strength to my body, physically and mentally.

2️⃣ What is your favorite thing about SoFul?
➡️ The welcoming, kind, and skilled teachers, and the supportive fellow students who make me feel welcome.

3️⃣ What are some of your favorite places in Salisbury/Rowan County?
➡️ Salisbury's local breweries, eateries, and coffee shops, or exploring the historic old train station and The Forum.

4️⃣ What is a fun or interesting fact that we might not know about you?
➡️ For almost 20 years, I've been energizing spin classes, and even now, I love jumping in to sub when I can.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Talitha McGuinness 🌟

This week we’re shining the light on the radiant Talitha McGuinness—a dedicated SoFul yogi and the heart behind Magnolia Grove NC in China Grove. Talitha brings peace and presence not only to her mat but also to her community through her charming little spa, where she offers relaxation services and a curated selection of wellness goodies.

Talitha’s calm energy and nurturing spirit are unmistakable. We’re so grateful to have her in the SoFul family! 💛

1️⃣ How long have you been practicing yoga and what do you love about the practice?
➡️ About 5 years — I discovered it during 2020 when we were all hunkered down at home and it was such a relief for me. During a time when so much was unknown and emotional, I had an online class where I could close off my thoughts temporarily and push myself physically in ways I never had. It felt like a life raft on a raging sea of emotions and overwhelm.

2️⃣ What is your favorite thing about SoFul?
➡️ Love Janet’s class for the extra long holds and stretch that makes me slow down and leave everything at the door, if even for an hour.

3️⃣ What are some of your favorite places in Salisbury/Rowan County?
➡️ I love coffee and window shopping or thrifting, so Local Focal and Koco Java in Salisbury are favorites, and Encore on Main and Willowbrook Grounds in China Grove in Landis. I’m also a little biased, but love my own little spa in downtown China Grove, Magnolia Grove, for a little relaxation and shopping for wellness items.

4️⃣ What is a fun or interesting fact that we might not know about you?
➡️ I’m a maker and creative at heart and I cherish my quiet time (when I love to read or listen to podcasts and music). From making sourdough bread and homemade butter, to tinctures and more holistic products that help general ailments, and even making jewelry, clothing, painting and more, I dabble in almost anything!

5️⃣ What is your favorite yoga pose?
➡️ I love pigeon, as it’s such an amazing stretch for my cranky hips.

Big news, big heart, bold look.

We’re thrilled to unveil SoFul’s new logo—a vibrant reflection of our growth with a solid nod to where we started as we prepare to open the doors to our second location: SoFul West Ave. in Kannapolis!

If you’ve walked through the studio recently, you may have noticed our merch wall looking a little… naked. 👀 That empty space was making room for something fresh—our brand-new look!

Our updated logo will represent both our Railwalk and West Ave. studios, symbolizing growth, strength, and the evolution of our SoFul community.

With growth comes transformation—and how lucky are we to be growing together? The look is an update of our OG logo created in 2017, yet the heart behind it remains the same. Just like we flow through transitions on the mat, we invite you to embrace this with curiosity, pride, and excitement for what’s ahead.

Our FIRST THURSDAY series continues in August! You're invited to a free community class on Thursday, August 7 at 7 PM at SoFul Yoga Studio.

Power Pilates is a low impact, high intensity workout that sculpts muscles, and gets your heart rate going! Focus on correct form, balance control, and constant core engagement. Come prepared to increase your heart rate and sweat it out. All levels welcome.

Perfect for anyone who’s curious about SoFul Studio, brand new to the practice, or looking to support their current training with movement.

We’ll have everything you need—mats, props, and guidance. Just come dressed in comfortable clothing, and bring water and a towel.

A rare and beautiful moment—so many of our SoFul teachers in the studio together!

With full lives and full schedules, it’s not often so many of us are in the same place at the same time, but when it happens, it’s magical. There’s something deeply empowering about being in the presence of one another—sharing stories, ideas, and simply the energy that makes SoFul what it is.

We’re grateful for this community, and for the moments that remind us we’re stronger together.

Our Story

SoFul Yoga and Wellness of Salisbury is a community space created for personal growth and transformation through yoga and wellness. Located upstairs at 1024 South Fulton Street, the studio entrance is around the corner on Ridge Avenue. We offer a variety of yoga, Pilates, meditation, tai chi and other classes, as well as wellness workshops, continuing education, nutrition coaching, crystal mapping and special events.

Yoga teachers and wellness practitioners in Salisbury and Rowan County came together in 2017 with a vision to create a place to practice and teach in their own unique style and offer classes that are affordable to everyone. SoFul Yoga and Wellness is named for its location in the SoFul district on South Fulton Street in Salisbury, North Carolina. This eclectic corner of the city nestled at the intersection of three historic neighborhoods is home to live music, coffee, craft beer, an environmental conservation group, an art gallery, and now, a yoga and wellness studio!
