In 2017 Yoga teachers and Wellness Practitioners in Salisbury and Rowan County came together with a vision to create a space for wellness classes that are affordable and accessible to everyone. SoFul was initially named for its location in the SoFul District on South Fulton Street In Salisbury. To this day, we are committed to providing accessible and affordable yoga to everyone!SoFul Yoga and Wellness is a community space created for personal growth and transformation through yoga and wellness. We are now located in the Rail Walk District of Downtown Salisbury.

✨ EXCITING NEWS! NEW TEACHER, NEW CLASSES. ✨

SoFul welcomes Reagan Pruett to our amazing teaching staff. Beginning OCTOBER 1. Reagan will teach a classic Mat Pilates class on Tuesdays at 4, Wednesdays at 9, and Fridays at 9.

Reagan is passionate about helping everyBODY discover the joy and benefits of movement. With experience in yoga, Pilates, barre, and TRX, she loves blending different styles to create classes that are accessible, engaging, and fun. Her goal is always to leave students feeling confident, challenged, and curious for more.

A native of the Wild and Wonderful state of West Virginia, Reagan brings both energy and encouragement into every class she leads.

We can’t wait for you to roll out your mat with Reagan!

✨ Student Spotlight: Melissa Burke ✨

When asked to share something interesting about herself, Melissa said, “I’m very uninteresting, actually—and I’m ok with that. I like a quiet life!” After some debate (and her husband struggling a bit too much to help 🤔), we learned that she once spent six months in China!

Of course, if you’ve ever practiced alongside her, you already know Melissa is interesting—her quick wit and great sense of humor shine through every time. Keep reading to see more of her spotlight answers and get to know this SoFul gem a little better.

1️⃣ How long have you been practicing yoga and what do you love about the practice?
➡️ Something I remember very well was my very first yoga class. It was in 2006 at a gym and I’ve been hooked ever since!

2️⃣ What is your favorite thing about SoFul?
➡️ Ooooo definitely the community and vibes. The vibes are impeccable but I love that the monthly unlimited comes with access to the Forum.

3️⃣ What are some of your favorite places in Salisbury/Rowan County?
➡️ Too many to choose but my gut reaction is Loteria and Mean Mug! I also look forward to meandering the farmers market after Saturday morning heated yoga! Special shout out to Rowan Runners even though that’s not a place.

4️⃣ What is a fun or interesting fact that we might not know about you?
➡️ I’m very uninteresting, actually and I’m ok with that. I like a quiet life! I asked my husband if there is anything interesting about me and he struggled but eventually said I should say that I spent 6 months in China. Actually, the way he struggled to name something interesting about me makes me question if I should be offended by how much he struggled. Should I be offended? Also, I’m pretty funny and have a great sense of humor (if you can’t tell by my responses).

5️⃣ What is your favorite yoga pose?
➡️ Do I have to choose? There’s so many. Obsessed with pigeon pose, king dancer, bow pose, I used to be able to do bird of paradise which is my favorite to see people do but I’m too old for that now - or at least that’s what my bones tell me.

Our Chicago connection, Stacie, brings her own brand of joy to the mat—and sometimes a mid-class snack. 🍎 (Fueling the fun, of course!) She’s quick with a smile, full of laughter, and always up for a good time.

With an impressive 43 years of yoga practice under her belt, Judy is an example of dedication, joy, and longevity on the mat. You’ll often find her in the back row, sharing smiles and laughs with her best yoga buddy (you know who you are!), reminding us all not to take ourselves too seriously. Judy brings a lightness and playfulness to her practice that’s contagious—we’re so lucky to have her as part of the SoFul family!

➡️ 43 years. Its works every part of your body and helps still the mind.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 4 at 7 pm—our doors are open and the mats are ready! This month, Erin will guide a mixed-level flow that’s perfect whether you’re brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner looking to move, breathe, and connect.

Pre-registration on MindBody is super helpful (but not required). Just dress comfortably, bring your water, and we’ve got the rest covered. Come see what SoFul is all about—your first Thursday night with us is on the house!

Our Story

SoFul Yoga and Wellness of Salisbury is a community space created for personal growth and transformation through yoga and wellness. Located upstairs at 1024 South Fulton Street, the studio entrance is around the corner on Ridge Avenue. We offer a variety of yoga, Pilates, meditation, tai chi and other classes, as well as wellness workshops, continuing education, nutrition coaching, crystal mapping and special events.

Yoga teachers and wellness practitioners in Salisbury and Rowan County came together in 2017 with a vision to create a place to practice and teach in their own unique style and offer classes that are affordable to everyone. SoFul Yoga and Wellness is named for its location in the SoFul district on South Fulton Street in Salisbury, North Carolina. This eclectic corner of the city nestled at the intersection of three historic neighborhoods is home to live music, coffee, craft beer, an environmental conservation group, an art gallery, and now, a yoga and wellness studio!
