To the one feeling weary this Palm Sunday—

Maybe you’re walking into this Holy Week not with hallelujahs, but with heavy shoulders and questions that don’t resolve easily. Maybe hope feels a little thin right now. And that's okay.

Palm Sunday reminds us of a strange kind of celebration—one that comes before the sorrow, before the silence. The people waved palms and shouted praise, not knowing what was coming next. Uncertainty was in the air even then. Some even watched with downcast eyes and heavy hearts - watching, knowing.

So if you find yourself in the middle of the “I don’t know,” if your prayers today sound more like sighs—may you feel the quiet presence of a God who doesn't rush you. Who stays with you in the waiting. Who can hold all your weary and all your wondering.

Blessed are the uncertain, the tired, the ones still showing up.

You are not the exception.

The random acts of kindness you do for other people? You deserve them, too.

The grace you always give to others when they're running late or make mistakes? You deserve it, too.

How safe, loved, spoiled, and nurtured you try to make your favorite pet feel? You also deserve that treatment.

The hugs and a shoulder to cry on that you offer to loved ones, friends, and sometimes even that nice lady you met at the grocery store? You are worthy of receiving, and not just giving.

You know how you're always telling your friends that it wasn't their fault when others use, abuse, treat them poorly, or life just dumps on them? Yeah, you deserve that same knowing.

You are worthy. You deserve the assurance of knowing that, the same way you assure others.

The soft place to land in safety that you try to make sure everyone who knows you has? You deserve to know the net will catch you, too.

You know how you put aside your own discomfort whenever others are having difficult feelings so that they can feel whatever they're feeling and have safety and support to do so? You deserve that same experience.

You deserve the self- care and kindness you're always telling others that they need.
