Holloway Funeral Home

Holloway Funeral Home An independent, family-owned funeral and cremation service provider serving all of Delmarva. In the late 1800's and early 1900's, our forefathers, Samuel J.R.

Holloway and Walter R. Holloway (1899-1983) began serving Wicomico County to provide the best funeral services in the area. As a cabinet maker, Samuel crafted all necessities for the business, from a horse-drawn-carriage to the caskets that were provided to families. As Samuel became older, Walter stepped in to fill the large shoes left by his father. Often going out at all hours of the night to aid families in need, Walter took the reigns in leading the business with the utmost professionalism and care. Much has changed in recent years not only our area, but the funeral industry as well. Walter, along with our father, W. Richard Holloway Sr. (1928-2011) nurtured our company to our main location on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. As the company has grown, our resources have grown as well. We have seven licensed funeral directors, state-of-the-art preparation facilities, and three on-site crematories. In more recent years, we have also expanded to include a location in Pocomoke City, Maryland. Leading into the fifth generation of Holloways, we have maintained a professional and caring commitment to the families served. This commitment is our way of letting you know we're here for you. Our first priority is to provide the very best in caring, compassionate, and quality service to every family we are entrusted to serve. Our intent and responsibility is to uphold the very highest level of professionalism, character, and integrity. Honesty in all transactions is our benchmark, and we welcome being fairly compared to other funeral homes. We also believe it is important to provide the opportunity for families and individuals to plan funerals in advance and consider various options without pressure or obligation. Funerals are more than observances of the passage of life. They are Celebrations of Life to which every person is entitled. We also believe every family has the right to choose their own way of celebrating life. Because of this, we have become local leaders in providing services that are unique, meaningful, and healing.

This afternoon, members of our Holloway team had the joy of volunteering at the Humane Society of Wicomico County. 🐾 We spent time walking dogs, cuddling cats, and giving a little extra love to the animals waiting for their forever homes. 💕

We’re grateful for the important work the Humane Society does in our community and for the chance to support their mission. If you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family—or just want to help—consider stopping by to adopt, volunteer, or donate. Together, small acts of care make a big difference. 🐶🐱
