Saturday was a fun filled day of Recovery events and a few surprises! We began our day at the Walk for Recovery hosted by the Atlantic Club and Worcester Goes Purple!
We then hosted a party for our residential client’s and staff at the Hardball cafe during the Shorebirds game!
We enjoyed great food and fun, a yearly tradition we all look forward to.
We want thank Jennifer Atkinson and Jimmy Sweet from the Shorebirds Stadium for helping make the surprise proposal happen for two of our favorite employees Deondre B and Nikki H! (She said yes:)
We finished up the night with a birthday celebration for our dedicated Director Christine Foote !!

The house was packed with back-to-school excitement at the Fresh Start event hosted by the Wicomico County Judy Center Early Learning Hub! Mental health and substance abuse treatment staff, re-entry peer support, and our Spanish interpreter were on hand to provide information about many of our offerings!

SUNDAY, SUNDAY!! This Sunday, August 24th is the annual “Fresh Start: A Wicomico County Back-to-School Event” returning to the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This is for Wicomico County students in-need from Kindergarten to Grade 12. ​Students will receive a Free backpack along with several essential school supplies (while supplies last, on a first-come, first-served basis). A child must be present with an adult to receive school supplies.

🚨 Veteran in Need 🚨 This U.S. Army Veteran found herself homeless after the loss of her parents, with whom she lived well into her adult life. Despite the barriers that consistently show up in her case, she pushes forward and accomplishes everything asked of her.

She has toured multiple homes and finally settled on a small single-family home in rural Wicomico County. However, the management company does not provide appliances in single-family homes.

To meet required habitability standards and allow her to move in with Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) assistance, we are seeking donations of*:
• Side-by-side washer/dryer
• Stove/oven
• Refrigerator/freezer
