Huge thank you to Cybil D. Jones PA-C, and Michelle Thomason CPNP, from Salisbury Pediatrics, for volunteering their time and partnering with us in completing 20 back-to-school physicals last night! We know that back-to-school time and getting appointments in is a bit stressful so we are glad we were able to help some families be relieved of that worry! Thank you ladies so much again! 😊

Greg was the life of the party on our Wellness Wednesdays. Always uplifting, always kind, and always a friend. We will miss him. God speed, Greg.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and long-time colleague, Greg Stewart. Greg was more than just a dedicated employee at Cabarrus Health Alliance—he was a guiding light in our community, a passionate educator, and a true advocate for health and wellness.

Over the years, Greg inspired so many with his gentle spirit and deep commitment to helping others. Whether he was leading a walking group, guiding a grocery store tour, sharing his favorite smoothie recipe, or taking a moment to meditate with someone who needed it—Greg brought warmth, wisdom, and a calming presence to every interaction.

He believed that health was more than just physical—it was about connection, mindfulness, and compassion. And that’s exactly what he gave to all of us.

We will miss his smile, his kindness, and the unwavering positivity he brought to everything he did. Greg’s legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the lessons he taught us all.

🕊️ Rest peacefully, Greg. Thank you for everything.

🎊Huge Congrats🥳

Please join us in congratulating our inaugural Community Lifestyle Medicine Class! This Spring, Dr. Wilson partnered with Catawba College Professors Dr. Suzanne Bowser and Dr. Brittany Smith for an 11-week course covering small changes that make big differences. Lifestyle Medicine's goal is to prevent, treat, and put into remission chronic conditions such as Heart Disease, Type-2 Diabetes, Obesity, and more, by focusing on these six pillars: Nutrition, Physical Activity, Restorative Sleep, Stress Management, Social Connection, and Avoidance of Risky Substances. From the beginning of the program to the end, our patients experienced positive changes in areas like BMI, Blood Pressure levels, Blood Glucose levels, overall strength, and energy levels.
We are so proud of the changes our students have made, and we hope to continue helping our community create small changes that create big differences! 🎉

If you are interested in attending our next class, which will begin this Fall, please contact our communications personnel, Mayra Mosquera, using this email address: Mmosquera@communitycareofrowan.org or call (704)-636-4523 Ext. 203.

🌸Looking Back: April Edition 🌸

April was full of generosity, growth, and gratitude here at the clinic! Here are some things we're celebrating:

▪️The Health Department generously donated Shingles and Pneumonia vaccines as well as meal prep containers and yoga mats, helping our patients stay healthy and active.

▪️The clinic was awarded Landscape of the Month by the Appearance Commission - a reflection of the care we put into creating a welcoming environment inside and out.

▪️Rowan Rotary graciously donated diabetic care bags, helping us provide extra support to our patients managing chronic conditions.

We're incredibly thankful for our community partners who make it possible to serve our patients with compassion and care ❤️🤍
