For many pregnant women, going to bed isn’t as straightforward as it used to be. Once you get that positive pregnancy test, sleep takes on a life of its own. Fatigue can arrive like an unexpected tide—one night you’re in bed by eight and wide awake at midnight, another night you’re teary at 3 a.m., and finally falling asleep around mid-morning. One year ago today, I graduated from my post-abortion healing class… and wow, so much has happened since then.

That season was one of the hardest and holiest parts of my story. I remember lighting lanterns and watching them float toward heaven, sending love to my baby. I remember the candle I burned on her birthday, the one I’ll burn every year. And the flowers from my bouquet…I still have them. Pieces of a moment that changed me forever.

Looking back now, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for God’s plan for my life. He took something so heavy and turned it into healing, purpose, and a new strength I didn’t know I had. He met me in my brokenness, and He’s been faithful in every single step since.

I’m thankful for the woman I’ve become, for the healing He’s brought, and for the future He’s leading me into. And one day, I know I’ll get to meet my baby in heaven, my little Rockquel, what a beautiful promise to hold onto.

Here’s to growth, grace, and God’s goodness, even in the places we never expected to find it.

Thank you to the Salisbury Seventh-day Adventist Church and everyone else who has been helping us restock our diaper supply. This is such a blessing for the dry-bottomed babies in Rowan County.

During the Christmas season, many churches and individuals show their commitment to helping struggling families by offering a variety of support. The need for diapers occurs during the holidays and continues year-round for many low-wage families and those living in poverty. By collecting and donating diapers, we enable parents to meet a basic need crucial for all babies to thrive.

We couldn't do what we do without you. Thank you for your ongoing support and the diapers!
