This past weekend, five members of the Salisbury FFA Trapshooting Team competed against 15 other schools at the District Shoot. What a way to finish the year!

The Salisbury FFA Chapter is getting back into the swing of things now that we are almost two months into the school year. In this group of photos from the 80’s, you can see members participating in Food for America and an FFA jacket being assembled. Both symbolize the legacy passed down through generations of FFA members, and we are excited for the current Greenhands to receive their own jackets soon.

Today, our Animal Science class kicked off the Reproduction Unit with an exciting and educational visit to Cattle Visions. Students had the unique opportunity to observe industry-leading professionals in action, learning how bull semen is collected, evaluated for viability, frozen, and distributed across the country.

A big thank you to the Cattle Visions team for the incredible tour and valuable insights. We truly appreciated the experience and learned so much!

🌟 Salisbury FFA Trapshooters Shine at State! 🌟

This past weekend, four members of the Salisbury FFA Trapshooting Team competed against over 600 of the best shooters in Missouri at the State FFA Trap Shoot.

Individual highlights:

Gavin Harmon - (Top 20 overall)

Ethan Moore - (Top 30 overall)

Wesley Harris - (Top 30 overall)

Grady Harmon - (Top 40 overall)

Aiden Farnen - (Top 75 Overall)

Last week was our annual Food for America day! From cattle to bees, an ATV to a 9RX, and power tools to a cow milking simulation, chapter and community members brought in various livestock and equipment to educate elementary students about the agriculture that influences their daily lives. This year, thanks to a grant from BTC bank, we were given the opportunity to provide hands on activities for the students. Each 4th-6th grade student built a birdhouse, propagated succulents, or built a marshmallow gun with PVC pipes. We are proud of our members for working hard to teach younger students and thankful for the continued support from our community.
