⚡️The electrical interconnection project between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, known as the "Hostos Project", involves the transfer of energy via a 160-kilometer high-voltage submarine cable to strengthen regional energy security.

* Capacity and Project:

Reports indicate a capacity of **700–750 MW** (sometimes cited as 700 MW or 500–700 MW) for the submarine cable that would link the energy systems of both countries.

The Trump administration approved this submarine cable project for Puerto Rico in early 2026.

Throwback Thursday…

This photo captures a Black Hawk over Washington, D.C. with Scott at the controls in 2022 while serving on Active Duty in support of contingency operations at the Pentagon.

Before retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3, Scott was one of only three Instructor Pilots in his unit, while also serving as a Master Gunner and Air Mission Commander.

As a trainer, mentor, and advisor to other high ranking officers he helped ensure more than 40 pilots remained proficient and met the highest standards. Preparing them to perform under pressure when it mattered most.

Because leadership isn’t just a title, it’s responsibility, accountability, and being ready when people are counting on you.

That’s the same leadership Scott will bring as your next Sheriff.
