Harry has officially taken over Sequoyah Manor, and he’s HUNGRY for Halloween candy! 👻 Our residents are so excited to hand out treats on Halloween night, but Harry needs your help filling up his belly (a.k.a. our candy donation box 🪣).

If you’d like to help our residents spread some Halloween cheer, drop off your candy donations at 615 E Redwood Ave, Sallisaw, OK. Harry is waiting by the front door! 🧡

Our gals at Complete OK spoiled us today with the most delicious iced coffee! Some residents mayyyyy have gone back for seconds… or thirds. 😉

Our 27th annual Senior Olympics was bigger and better than ever this year! With 10 participating nursing homes, the competition was fierce and every facility brought their A-game! 🥊🏃🏽‍♂️🏅

We are truly grateful to all of our donors, the ICTC nursing students, and to all the hospices who so graciously volunteered! 💜💙❤️🩷

And a special thank you to Mix 105.1 KXMX for joining us and announcing all the action!🎤❤️

Our power has been fully restored and our phones are now working again. Residents remained safe during the outage, and we are grateful for the teamwork and patience of everyone involved.

Following the storm, we want to reassure everyone that all of our residents are safe and sound. The power outage continues, and our phones are still not working at this time. Staff are actively monitoring all residents, and everyone is being well cared for. We will provide further updates as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Yesterday we celebrated Alzheimer’s Awareness Day on our memory care unit with our wonderful residents. 💜

It’s in the gentle hand squeezes, the soft smiles that flicker across their faces, and the stories they tell—even when the pieces don’t quite fit together. It’s not about correcting, but about listening. Not about reminding, but about being present.

To love and care for someone with memory loss is to learn that connection doesn’t always come from words—it can be found in a song, laughter, or simply sitting together in quiet.

Every resident is someone’s mother, father, sister, or brother, and every moment with them matters. The gift of caregiving isn’t just what we give, but what they give back—teaching us patience, compassion, and the beauty of living in the moment. 💜💜

Residents came ready to spend every last bean they had! Bidding, battling, and even pouting a little when someone swooped in with a higher bid! 😅 The competition was fierce, the laughs were loud, and the prizes were worth every single bean! 🫘
