Salmon Valley Hospice is accepting applications for Volunteer positions. Did you know Medicare requires hospice to incorporate volunteer services into their daily patient care to retain the volunteer-based essence of hospice as it originated? Hospice was founded on community support and love for our neighbor.

What does a Volunteer do?
Share your hobbies with others,
Visit with individuals who are homebound,
Help with outdoor chores, gardening, flower beds, lawn care, etc.. Play board games, cards, crafts,
Read to participant.

Today is . Donating blood saves lives every day. Every 2 second, someone in the US needs blood to survive. Donating takes less than one hour: 20 minutes for registering, 10 minutes for donating and 15 minutes for recovery and a snack. One pint of blood is collected during a donation. It takes the body 48 hours to replace the volume of blood lost. Each donation can save the lives of 3 people. Even if you can’t donate today, thank a donor for their part in saving lives!
