There have been concerns raised about why we are closing, and even fundraisers started to keep the organization 'alive.' We want to be clear about how we came to the decision to close and that we are not accepting donations either directly to us or from other organizations. While funding is a factor for any organization, this was not our "make or break" point.

The dynamic of our community involvement changed after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. We adapted our existing services to be accessible virtually and continued to offer additional services to meet the evolving needs of the community. Over the last four years, we have continuously sought feedback on the community's needs. While the feedback remained relatively consistent, engagement with our services and events waned. We explored various in-person, virtual, and hybrid options to meet these needs. We also added additional free resources to help the community have the information they need for their infertility journey but received minimal response.

Through our analysis, two main results emerged: our Facebook groups thrived as peer-to-peer support, and our virtual therapist-led support group remained a consistent area of engagement. Other services, regardless of cost, did not appear critical to the community based on engagement. What truly mattered was providing a safe space for support and camaraderie.

This is why we made the difficult decision to close our doors but keep the Facebook groups open under new leadership. The therapist-led support group will also continue in the new year to ensure this area of support is still available. We will reach out to all past participants with the details, and our final meeting of this year will be held next Wednesday evening, which all are welcome to attend. Our goal has always been to support you in the ways that matter most, and we believe this decision allows us to do that most effectively.

It's Giving Tuesday!💙 We encourage people to donate to causes they feel strongly in support of. Donating your hard earned money is a great way to add your support to an organization.
Since Infertility Connections is closing its doors at the end of the month, we are not accepting direct donations, nor are we accepting donations through other organizations.

From humble beginnings, Utah Infertility Resource Center (UIRC) grew to offer vital services, providing hope and resources to hundreds of families across Utah. As our community expanded beyond Utah, we rebranded to Infertility Connections to support anyone experiencing infertility, regardless of their location.

Despite our best efforts, the landscape of infertility support has evolved, with more resources now readily available. After much reflection, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors effective December 31, 2024.

We are deeply grateful to our board members, staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and most of all, our clients. Your trust and support have been invaluable, and we are honored to have been part of your fertility journey.💜
