Participating, and co-leading/leading the Essential Relational Skills Boot Camp Weekends I regularly do restores my faith in humanity. This past weekend a group came together in NYC to learn and practice, and they came from New Mexico, Toronto, Salt Lake City, New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester, with roots in the United Kingdom and India as well. They supported each other, shared with vulnerability and strength and emerged with new resolve to keep their relationships fueled and thriving. I can't adequately explain how different this is from what we see when we turn on the news every morning: destruction, violence, taking advantage of others, greed, selfishness....Doing these workshops reminds me that people not only CAN be good, caring and generous, they ARE, if you only tap into it and invite it. I'll be doing the workshop again the 27th/28th of June, in Northampton, one of my favorite places in the northeast.

REBOOT! in 2026!

For those who have completed a Boot Camp with Jerry & Kristy (or either one of them, solo).

Join Jerry for a weekend workshop in-person in Warwick, NY called REBOOT!, offered the weekend of Saturday, Feb 21 & Sunday, Feb 22, 2026 at Mountain Lake Park in Warwick, NY.

In recognition of the hard work it is to reliably apply the principles and practices of the Boot Camp skills you’ve already learned (some of you as far back as 5 years ago!) couples will go through a refresh/reminder of the basics and then work together looking at the specific obstacles to intimacy that arise despite the training.

There will be plenty of room for individualized couples’ progress as the workshop will be limited to the first 12 couples to register.

Some summer reflections: I was thinking about the gift, and challenge, of second marriages. Called "the victory of hope over experience" by some, second marriages bring the opportunity for you to change things up in a big way. But (for me, anyway), this required re-learning everything I thought I knew about how relationships work best. Wisdom isn't automatic (even after failure).
