With the continued rise in inflation and costs of operating a business, we have made the carefully considered decision to increase our prices by a small amount that will be more sustainable for the clinic. Though it has become evident that an increase in our prices is necessary, our mission to make acupuncture accessible to everyone remains the same. Keeping our prices affordable is fundamental to that mission.

With this change, we are dedicated to continue focusing our financial resources on the things that really matter. We keep the clinic as simple and efficient as possible, and prioritize providing exceptional care for our patients, and a living wage for our staff. Our goal is not to become more profitable, but to offer treatments to more patients while remaining financially viable.

Wasatch Community Acupuncture is unique in many ways. We are the only 501(c)3 non-profit community acupuncture clinic with a sliding payment scale in Utah. We are also different from many other non-profits due to the fact that we operate like a small business and are funded almost entirely on treatment fees, rather than donations. We depend on the generosity of our patients, paying what they can afford for their treatments on our sliding scale.

Our patients are the heart of Wasatch Community Acupuncture and we thank you for your continued support of our clinic and our mission. We endeavor to be around to serve you for many years to come.

Another great community outreach event in the books this week at Connect the Dots conference! We are grateful for the opportunity to spread the word about how accessible and affordable acupuncture can be. This year we were also able to offer ear acupuncture to attendees.👂

It’s always wonderful spending time with Amy and Beth from Utah Acudetox, and we especially loved having Hannah join us for the event.

It’s Giving Tuesday and we would like to humbly invite you to participate by donating to our clinic.

Wasatch Community Acupuncture is a 501c3 nonprofit. However, unlike many nonprofits, we operate like a small business. We’ve never received grant funding and have a limited number of donations throughout the year.

Our goal is always to keep our services affordable so that they are accessible to everyone. But like so many small businesses, over the last few years, we have seen costs rise and revenue stagnant. Meanwhile, we are trying to maintain & increase staff salaries to keep up with cost of living.

Our regular patient base keeps us afloat. So if you are a regular at the clinic – thank you! 🙏

✨ If you have a little extra to give, we would love your support! And if anyone out there is interested in becoming a monthly donor, that is an option!

🫶 Please click the donate button in our bio to read more about our mission, what we’ve accomplished, and our goals going forward.

Thank you!

❄️ As the weather gets cooler, remember that WCA is a bring your own *blanket* establishment. We couldn’t get the permits to give out our own. Just kidding!

We do have a limited number of back-up blankets that we offer patients, but as the temperatures drop, these will quickly run out.

Plus, what’s better than cuddling up with your favorite blanket from home for your acupuncture treatment? ☺️ so next time you book a treatment, don’t forget to throw a blanket in your bag or car!

Did you know we have massage therapists who practice at WCA? Michael is an important part of the clinic, having been part of the community for many years. ✨ We refer many patients to him, especially for psycho-emotional concerns, structural issues, and jaw/head conditions. We are always impressed by the results and powerful transformations his clients experience. ✨

Michael has been involved in the esoteric and healing arts since he was 12 years old, beginning with meditation, magical theory and practice. Over the years, he has had training and experience exploring many different traditions and various healing modalities.

His specialties include CranioSacral Therapy, chronic pain and injury, intuitively guiding healing trauma in all bodies (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual). A little more from him:

“I have been doing a fair amount of Somato Emotional Release (a part of CranioSacral Therapy), which is a way of freeing old emotions and memories from the tissues in the body that continue to create stress.

I have also been doing a lot of intraoral (aka mouth work - also part of CranioSacral Therapy) that can be fairly intense. This work helps open the avenue of expression and frees the cranial nerves allowing for greater flow and regulation throughout the entire system. These nerves are connected with speech, hearing, taste, olfactory, vision, heart function, digestion, balance and sense of well being.  This work has also been helpful in jaw clenching, TMJ, inner ear disorders, sinus issues, migraines, and many other problems.”

🪐 Through the end of January, Michael is offering a referral deal: if you refer a new patient to him, he will gift you $25 off a 60 minute session or $50 off a 90 minute session.

📍Link to book with Michael is in bio at our general booking site!
