There is a group of modalities offered at the fair that I put in the Unique reading categories. However, these modalities have been around for centuries. They are: Turkish Coffee Readings. Rune readings, Lithomancy (Crystal and Stone Readings), and Bone readings’

•Turkish Coffee Reading: Turkish coffee reading is a tradition of interpreting the stains residual coffee grounds left in the cup and on the saucer. The process involves brewing a small cup of Turkish coffee and allowing the grounds to settle at the bottom of the cup. The person receiving the reading drinks most of the coffee, leaving a small number of coffee grounds at the bottom. Then inverting the cup into a saucer to allow the grounds to settle, creating patterns and symbols that the reader interprets, which are believed to reveal information about the person's future or current life

•Rune Reading: Rune reading is a divinatory practice that involves interpreting the meaning of ancient Germanic symbols known as runes. You will find many readers at the SoulWorks fair offering Tarot and Oracle card readings. But there are two other types of card readings being offered that most people don’t know of: Cartomancy and lenormand.

Cartomancy (using playing cards) Reading: Cartomancy is a form of divination that uses a standard 52-card playing deck to gain insight into the past, present, or future. Its origins trace back to 14th-century Europe, where playing cards were among the earliest tools used for fortune telling—predating the structured symbolism of tarot. Unlike tarot, which uses a specialized 78-card deck, cartomancy works with the same deck used for games like poker or bridge. The key distinction lies in the cards and their interpretations. While tarot often relies on archetypes and layered meanings, cartomancy tends to offer more direct and literal answers. Tarot is typically more symbolic and open to interpretation, whereas cartomancy readings are known for their clarity and straightforwardness

lenormand Card Reading: A Lenormand Card reading focuses on practical, everyday situations and events, offering a more direct and literal interpretation than Tarot. A healing practitioner uses complementary and alternative techniques, often centered on energy work, to support clients' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. These practitioners, such as Reiki or Healing Touch practitioners, work to balance the body's energy systems, reduce stress, relieve pain, and facilitate the natural healing process, acting as a complement to traditional medical care. There are many types of healing practices offered at SoulWorks are: Theta Healing with angels and spirit guides, Reiki , Chair Massage, Sound Healing, Chakra Balancing.

Theta Healing is the world-renowned energy healing technique for your body, mind and spirit. It is a meditation technique and spiritual philosophy that uses focused thought and prayer which offers physical, emotional and spiritual healing by tapping into the Theta brainwave and connecting with the unconditional love energy of the Creator of all that is. We can reprogram our minds to clear limiting beliefs and think positively. This brings out the best in ourselves and allows us to live our most enlightened, successful lives.

Reiki is a form of attunement. It attunes the chakras, particularly the main seven energy forces in the body. It also attunes the body’s energy with God. Reiki is a 2500-year-old Tibetan / Buddhist healing practice. It is a process by which the practitioner lays hands on / over the body, focusing on the seven main chakras to bring harmony back into them. The practitioner works their way down through the body, starting with the crown and third eye chakras. These are located at the top of one’s head and forehead respectively. They tend to finish at the feet, providing the energy of groundedness.

Chair massage - also known as seated massage - is a type of massage that takes place on an traditional massage chair, designed to take the weight off the spine and give easy access to the head, neck, back, shoulders and arms. The massage is most commonly done over the clothes and does not require oils or creams. If you wish to have the therapist focus on certain areas it is best to request this before the treatment so as not to interrupt your moment of relaxation, or of course, simply mention during the treatment that you would prefer time spent on specific areas. The therapist will generally avoid areas that have suffered prior injury so as not to aggravate the condition.

Astrology is the theory that the specific positions of the stars and how the planets move about the solar system impact human beings’ lives, events, and behavior.

A psychic medium is someone who has extrasensory capabilities and can tap into things unseen or unknown by their usual sense of perception. This may also be referred to as the sixth sense. Mediums are also able to speak or receive messages from souls on the other side and can interact with otherworldly, ethereal spirits. They can do this if they have vibrations that are high enough to connect to that other side which enables them to be able to feel or hear thoughts, voices, feelings, and more from those who have passed on. All mediums are psychic, but not every psychic is a medium.

Some mediums give lots of details that may include first names and dates, and others can almost step into the personality of your loved ones on the other side. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that your loved one will come through during your session. Typically, they will, but there is never a guarantee.

Tip:
• Spend time thinking about your loved one before the session. Talk to them in your head, tell them you’re going to see a medium, and ask them to come through. During the reading try to remain open and relaxed.

• Review your current state of grief. Are you still deep in it? Wishing there was still a way to bring your loved one back? Depressed or angry? Overly tearful or sad? Be honest with yourself. If you answer yes to any, seek individual or group counseling to find more solid ground before seeing a medium. If you had great, if you haven’t the medium will still be able to work with you, but having that session before you’ve had time to process the loss can lead to undue expectations.

• I had a guy come into one of the SoulWorks Fair in the past. As he was reading the bios, of the mediums, I walked up to help him select a medium. After selecting, he said, she had better tell me what I need to know or I’m going to go off. Of course I had to set him straight, in a nice way of course. I went over what to expect from a medium reading and bringing that energy will do no good. I took him to the Café, bought him a pastry and a drink, and told him to sit, calm his energy and think about the loved one he wanted to come through, and mentally tell them to join you in your medium session. Otherwise, I can’t sell you a ticket for a medium. I’m happy to say, he did as I asked and had a great reading.

I call myself Psychic Intuitive reader, and I you ever received a reading from me, it may feel like a therapy session with the use of cards. I could easily read without the cards, but I found out that customers liked seeing the cards. Many intuitive readers will do the same. What is an Intuitive reader and who will be offering it at the fair?

Intuitive Readings are different for every reader. Intuitive reading is a one-on-one session where a reader connects with a person's energy, emotions, or subconscious to provide guidance, insight, and clarity, helping them to understand themselves better and make life decisions. The insights may be received as words, images, feelings, or sensations, and the goal is to facilitate a deeper connection with one's own inner wisdom and intuition. This process can be facilitated using tools like Tarot cards, but the core of the reading relies on the reader's ability to sense and interpret subtle information beyond logical thought

Depending on the person conducting the reading, the focus can be on anything from releasing blocked energy and past trauma, tapping into past lives, working through a current hardship, or helping a client to activate their highest potential and life work. As the name implies, the sessions are led intuitively and can often feel like a “talk therapy” session. For others (especially those who are highly sensitive to energies) it can feel like having psychic surgery. It all depends on what the client and intuitive reader intend for the session. Most intuitive readings provide in-depth information about a person’s soul journey and life path. Intuitive readings help provide clarity on life purpose or karmic cycles. When I was growing up, I only knew two types of psychic readers, those who read Tarot Cards and Palm readers. I had no idea there what Oracle card readers were, until I started learning how to read myself. But what is an Tarot or Oracle card reading.

• Tarot Reading (using traditional or nontraditional cards): Tarot is one of the oldest forms of psychic readings known to man. Tarot is a deck of cards that contain imagery and suits that each represent an aspect of life. The cards are read in combination with one another to interpret the meaning of a given moment or scenario. They create awareness of the moment’s potential and influences or bring a new perspective to the querent, the person receiving the reading. Tarot cards can help tap into deep, unconscious inner knowledge and offer valuable insights into one’s life, or they can portray hidden motives, opportunities, and potential to the querent (the person whom the reading is for). This sort of understanding can make you more aware of the potential results of your present thoughts, words, and behaviors. Importantly, tarot readings don’t describe unchangeable events.

• Oracle Card reading; Oracle cards are decks of cards, each with a different message, sometimes portrayed with images, sometimes with words and often with both. These cards act as the messenger, relay what you need to know about a situation or guidance in moving forward. Oracle Cards can be Angel Cards, Unicorn Cards, Fairy Cards, Love Cards, Seashell and Flower cards. The list is endless. What you will get with an Oracle card reading is practically the same as tarot. I just finished sharing a little about each of the 19 people who will be offerings services at the October 4th SoulWorks Psychic and Holistic Fair. I truly believe the soul knows where to go to get the healing it needs. If a soul leads a person into the fair, and they can't decide who to see, I often say to them, 'who do you feel drawn too?
