Dr. Ryan Spiker, spine surgeon and faculty member at University of Utah Health Orthopaedics, recently served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, presenting Grand Rounds focused on his research using technology to improve the patient experience.

Dr. Spiker also had the opportunity to review clinical cases with UPenn residents and tour the research laboratory. His research interests include cervical spine disorders, spine imaging, and the genetics of common spinal conditions.

We are excited to welcome Graham Englert, MD as a new Pediatric Musculoskeletal (MSK) Surgeon.

Originally from Franklin, Tennessee, Dr. Englert earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in May 2015, majoring in Science-Business with minors in Peace Studies and International Development Studies. He received his medical degree from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, completing his studies in May 2019. He is currently concluding his orthopedic surgery residency at Beaumont Health, where he has been recognized for his clinical excellence and dedication to pediatric orthopedics.

Macy Parkin, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in total hip and knee joint reconstruction. She earned both her Master of Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Utah. Macy completed clinical training in orthopedic surgery with a focus on joint arthroplasty, gaining experience in preoperative assessment, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative care.
