Amparo Prosthetics We are a multinational and multidisciplinary team of individuals with public health, business, industrial design, and engineering backgrounds.

Using human-centered design, amparo is redefining prosthetic socket technology to revolutionize healthcare systems and impact the lives of amputees across the world. It all started back in 2014 as a University project. We are devoted to empowering amputees across the world by redefining the process required to customize prosthetic sockets. At amparo we believe that every amputee should have access to a functional prosthetic and live without limitations.

What an incredible week in Leipzig for the Amparo team. From packed workshops and engaging conversations to live booth demos, OTWorld was a powerful moment to share where the Amparo System is heading.

We showcased:

💧 **Majicast: Better Shape Capture Starts Under Load**

Majicast is Amparo’s **hydrostatic weight-bearing shape capture system** is designed to help clinicians start every socket fitting from a more controlled, repeatable, and functional limb shape.

How it works:
✔ The residual limb is captured under **true weight-bearing conditions**
✔ Hydrostatic pressure helps distribute forces evenly around the limb
✔ Soft tissue is controlled during capture to support better socket geometry
✔ The system helps reduce unwanted **bulbous distal end shaping** by guiding the limb into a more optimal shape under load

For the user, this means a socket fitting process designed around how the limb actually behaves when standing and walking, supporting improved comfort, stability, and confidence from the start. 🦿
