The rose, a symbol of love and kindness, is deeply connected to Holy Cross Hospital's history. Our rose garden, established in 1937, was a symbol of charity and community, blossoming from 600 bushes to over 7,000! It was a partnership with the Utah Rose Society, Exchange Club, and Salt Lake City Parks. The garden provided solace to patients and honored the Sisters of the Holy Cross, who received a dozen roses each June as "rent." Though relocated in 1973, it was revived in 1990 to commemorate the 200 sisters who served.
Today, our garden on the south side of the Holy Cross Hospital - Salt Lake continues to bloom, a testament to our legacy of caring.
