The FDA recently issued a postmarket drug safety letter cautioning against the use of compounded versions of popular diabetes and weight loss drugs: Ozempic, Rybelsus, and Wegovy. These medications contain semaglutide, which helps regulate insulin production and suppress appetite.

The FDA has received reports of adverse health events related to compounded semaglutide, and there are concerns about the use of salt forms of the drug by some compounding pharmacies. Stick to approved versions to ensure your safety!
