History
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, founded by Stephen L. Richards, has been a part of the Salt Lake City community since 1912. Stephen envisioned a place “where serenity and peace of nature enshrine the tender memories of those we love.” Stephen’s wisdom has guided Wasatch Lawn into what it is today.
Wasatch Lawn Mortuary was added to the cemetery property in 1987. The funeral home and cemetery give you not only the warm, familiar attention you expect from locally operated businesses but also the value you deserve.
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park
The 65-acre Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park opened in 1912. With views of the Wasatch Mountains, it is a peaceful final resting place and a tranquil setting for remembrance and reflection.
Numerous mature trees provide shade on hot days and produce magnificent displays of orange, gold and red come fall. The well-landscaped cemetery also features lovely annual blooming flowers, nature gardens, impressive sculptures and several water features—all of which make for wonderful spots to sit for a bit.
