With laughter, teamwork, and creativity, everyone had a wonderful time preparing (and tasting!) these delicious little desserts.

Here are some wonderful moments from our recent Ladies Hour! 💕

Our group enjoyed delicious charcuterie, refreshing drinks, and a creative activity making “Mommy & Me” bracelets to support Share Parents of Utah, a meaningful organization providing comfort to families experiencing infant and pregnancy loss.

It was such a special time spent together, filled with connection, creativity, and giving back to a cause close to the heart. 💖

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to Olive Garden this week! From delicious pasta dishes to warm breadsticks and plenty of laughter, it was the perfect recipe for a memorable afternoon.

♠️ Gentlemen’s Club: Poker & Pizza 🍕

We had a fantastic time at our most recent Gentlemen’s Club gathering! The room was full of laughter, friendly competition, and the delicious smell of fresh pizza. Residents gathered around for a classic night of cards, conversation, and camaraderie.

Poker chips were stacked high, and smiles were even bigger. It’s always a joy to see our gentlemen enjoying time together, sharing stories, and making memories.

Events like these are a great reminder that fun, friendship, and good food never go out of style!

🌟 Manager Spotlight: Janina – Business Office Manager 🌟

Meet Janina, our incredible Business Office Manager!

Originally from California, Janina made the move to Utah for work and later earned her degree in Health and Exercise Science. While her path began in health and wellness, she discovered a true passion for numbers and transitioned into a career in accounts and billing. With nearly 20 years of experience, she brings dedication, precision, and a warm smile to our team every day.

Janina is married and a proud mom to two children—and let’s not forget her furry companion, Winston the Labradoodle! 🐾

When she’s not keeping our office running smoothly, Janina enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and diving into creative projects like baking (she’s especially known for her sourdough starters 🍞). A natural organizer and fluent Spanish speaker, she brings both heart and talent to everything she does.

We’re so lucky to have Janina as part of our leadership team! 💙

📸 Employee Spotlight: Katie Davis, OT 🌟

Take a moment to meet Katie Davis, one of Highland’s incredible Occupational Therapists! 🙌

Katie has been a vital part of our team for 11 years, starting right after graduating from the University of Utah. Originally from Arizona, raised in Oklahoma, and now calling Utah home, Katie brings warmth, energy, and a whole lot of heart to our rehab team.

🗨️ “When I came for an interview, I remember how welcoming and happy the rehab staff were. They had such good energy—I knew I wanted to work with them.”

All these years later, it’s still the people—both coworkers and residents—that make Katie love her job. She’s built strong bonds with many of our residents, who she says have “become like family.”

When she’s not working her OT magic, Katie loves reading, playing games, making costumes, enjoying great food, and spending time with her son, Josh, and their pup, Regina George. 🐶💕

🌾 Stepping Back in Time at the Pioneer Museum!

Our residents had a wonderful time exploring local history during a special outing to the [Local] Pioneer Museum this week. From vintage tools to stories of early settlers, everyone enjoyed reminiscing and learning something new.
