Meghan’s Story
Meghan Hays, owner and instructor, has 20 years and over 10,000 hours of teaching experience in the fitness, wellness, and Pilates industry. She is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor, fully certified STOTT PILATES instructor, ACSM-Certified Personal Trainer, a certified yoga instructor, Reiki Level 3 Master, has completed 1300 hours of academic study with the California College of Ayurveda (CCA), a 500-hour Internship, and is currently Clinical Ayurveda Specialist Intern at CCA. Meghan has been teaching STOTT PILATES and personal fitness training to a wide variety of clients in the New Orleans area for 13 years. Her client experience includes prenatal, post-natal, post-rehab/surgery, cancer recovery, spinal injuries, joint injuries, older adults, and athletes.
Meghan, as a current Clinical Ayurveda Specialist Intern at the California College of Ayurveda, also offers Ayurvedic Clinical Health Consultations to assess your constitution (digestive, psychological, and emotional tendencies), as well as health concerns, diagnoses, and diseases. Ayurveda is an ancient form of natural medicine and healing that uses diet, lifestyle, and herbs to allow optimal self-healing in the body and mind. An Ayurvedic assessment assists in alleviating imbalances in the mind and body, including issues with digestion, sleep, stress, energy, weight loss, general wellness, and health complaints. An Ayurvedic consultation will provide you with specific recommendations JUST FOR YOU to optimize your own self-healing potential and put you on the road to your best health--your very best YOU.
Meghan is a Reiki Level 3 Master and is also trained in Ayurvedic Marma Therapy. She is available for private Reiki and Marma sessions and trainings to facilitate rebalance of the body's chakras and inherent energy systems.
She is also a MELT Method Hand and Foot Treatment instructor. She helps clients alleviate pain and tension in their hands, feet, neck, and low back brought on by everyday stress, overuse, and age. MELT helps provide relief from neck and low back pain, arthritis, bunions, plantar fasciitis, and carpal tunnel syndrome. MELT also helps athletes improve reaction time, grip, and recovery time. Meghan offers private, duet, and trio MELT sessions and also incorporates MELT into Pilates, Restorative Yoga, and Reiki sessions.
Meghan has also completed 400-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Swan River Yoga and a 24-hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training at Swan River Yoga with with Michelle Baker and Kelly Haas. Meghan offers private, duet, and trio Restorative Yoga sessions for profound rest and promotion of the body's natural healing systems.
Meghan offers private, duet, and trio Pilates sessions on STOTT PILATES equipment, including three Reformers/V2Max Trainers. She loves incorporating balance and stability into every workout and often uses BOSU's, Stability Balls, Fitness Circles, Flexbands, and Rotational Discs to challenge her clients' strength, mobility, and stability.
