In support of our members and the people they serve, AUCH helps reduce barriers to healthcare throug

As the Primary Care Association in Utah, The Association for Utah Community Health (AUCH) cultivates access to primary health care for all residents throughout our diverse state. We support and represent our members through advocacy, training and technical assistance, and patient education. AUCH is designated by the Federal Bureau of Primary Health Care as the state primary care association and receives federal program support to develop and enhance services for members. The Association for Utah Community Health, formed in 1985, is the voice of Utah’s community health centers and their patients. Our organization represents over 40 not-for-profit community clinics who provide quality health care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health, particularly for low-to-moderate income, uninsured or underinsured Utahns who might otherwise not have access to health care. Our members include federal health center grantees and other providers who strive to meet the needs of all Utah citizens in rural and urban areas. AUCH and our statewide network of community health centers reduce barriers to health care by enhancing primary care service delivery through prevention, health promotion, and community participation.

AUCH's own Alan Pruhs was honored today as a Utah Business 2025 Healthcare Hero! This award honors those who have made it their mission to improve the state of health in Utah. Leaders in this sphere advance healthcare services, expand community outreach and champion equitable access to essential resources. Such leaders not only shape their organizations’ success but also significantly contribute to societal welfare.

2025 Ivan D. McCourt Excellence in Board Leadership Award - Mike Riddle, Wayne Community Health Center. The Excellence in Board Leadership award recognizes a health center Board member who epitomizes Ivan D. McCourt’s commitment and vision.

2025 Excellence in Administrative Leadership Award - Amy Tovey, Health West Inc. This award is presented to an exceptional administrator or staff member who has demonstrated commitment to the community health center movement through quality leadership and supervision of staff within their health center.

2025 Stephen D. Ratcliffe Visionary Award - Tiffiny Gregory, Fourth Street Clinic. The Stephen D. Ratcliffe Award is presented to an entire clinic, team or individual who always displays a positive perspective, keeps focused on the goal even when faced with challenges, and is viewed by others as a visionary.

AUCH held its third annual Health Center Leadership Summit last week in beautiful Midway, Utah. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about health center finances, the roles & responsibilities of a health center board member, sustainable healthcare operations, relational leadership, and much more. AUCH loves 340B! Last night, we honored three champions of the 340B Drug Pricing program. Sen. Evan Vickers and Representative Steve Eliason were honored with our Legislative Leadership Award for their work passing S.B. 69 Medication Amendments, and Donavan Smith, CEO of Wayne Community Health Center, received the Elizabeth “Bette” Vierra Grassroots Advocacy Award for his state and federal advocacy to protect health center access to the 340B Program.
