The Salt Lake Buddhist Fellowship held a beautiful memorial service at Vitalize Communit Studio on Sunday for Cameron Nelson, a member of the Sangha who died in July.

No one likes a hairball.
Thanks to members of the Salt Lake Buddhist Fellowship for their muscles and hard work Friday in a thorough cleaning of all props at the studio. We love our community and it fees great to do a summer refresh.

We can't wait to host you during the Millcreek Arts Festival in a few weeks. All of our classes are free and we invite anyone to come. No prior experience necessary.
All around our beautiful space at the Baldwin Radio Factory property on 2300 East, there will be artists' booths, food vendors, music stages… It's a blast. Mark your calendar and join us.

This is Curtis Forbush.
Maybe you've been in a workshop or class where he's played his crystal bowls and other instruments. Maybe you've been to a Sound Healing session with him at Dancing Crane, Vitalize or a dozen other places he's played during the past 19 years he's been offering his music in town.
Curtis is requesting consideration and assistance from his community and ours.
Sound Healing is Curtis' passion and side gig, but in April of 2024, he was working at his full time job as a delivery person and market merchandiser for a local company. He was carrying a full keg of beer up stairs when he suffered an accident that severely injured his back.
Now he is engaged in a difficult and complicated insurance battle that is gravely impacting financial and housing circumstances. Please take a moment to look at his story if you are able. Thank you.

🔸Enjoy guided meditation, breathwork and gentle movement to balance the mind and strengthen whole-body awareness.
🔸This sweet yet strong class blends the teachings of Hatha yoga with Bhakti mudras and mantras.
🔸Rooted in classical Odissi dance, Bhakti is the yoga of devotion. These sacred gestures add depth and intimacy to our practice, and aid in the manifestation of our prayers.

•Meet Your Guide•
Melody is a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, and longtime believer in miracles. She’s an advocate of mental health, survivor of childhood abuse, and feels most at home in nature. At 17 she endured a blood clot in her brain, and first discovered yoga nidra as a way to escape reality. While bedridden it led her to the world within, as she learned to focus her attention and follow the breath in and out. Yoga served as a foundational tool for pain management, and laid the blueprint for future psychological, spiritual, and emotional healing. She later received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, and went on to study Yoga and Shamanic ritual work in the San Francisco Bay Area. When she’s not chasing around her 3 year old son, you might find Melody training dogs, studying folklore, creating protective satchels, or playing video games with her husband.
