We just released a new update for the BanyanDNA app! Here's what's included:

(1) You can now freely set a node's default color via its right-click menu (see attached screenshot).

(2) Improved performance of the drag line (or "light saber") feature for quickly connecting nodes. This also includes some minor visual changes.

(3) A massive—and hopefully invisible—refactor under the hood.

(4) Fixed a couple bugs.

Although the first item is obviously the most exciting, the third item was easily the biggest part of this new version. We changed much of the underlying code to make Banyan easier to maintain in the future. We spent quite a bit of time testing things, but there may still be some bugs.
