We’re excited to spotlight Kuel Mangok, a Nutrition Care Sanitation Associate on our Nutrition Care Services team, who was recently named Healthcare Hero of the Match at a LOVB volleyball game.

Happy Birthday, Ed!

Please join us in wishing a very happy birthday to one of our incredible volunteer pianists, Ed Lueders, who will turn 103 years young on Valentine’s Day!

Volunteer Services celebrated this special milestone with chocolate cake and lots of love for a man who brings joy to our hospital every week.

Ed has been sharing his talent and heart with the University of Utah Hospital for 10 years, volunteering two days a week to fill our lobby with beautiful music.

We are so grateful for Ed’s dedication, warmth, and the music that brightens the days of patients, visitors, and staff alike.

Trading scrubs for sourdough! 🥖

The 4A nursing team at Huntsman Cancer Institute recently enjoyed a sourdough bread making class led by our talented colleague, Danielle Schiwal. This hands on experience offered a fun way for staff to build new skills, strengthen connections, and spend time together outside the hospital. Nothing brings people together quite like good bread and great company.
