Plaque and tartar may sound similar, but they play very different roles in your oral health — and neither is welcome!

✅ Plaque is a soft, sticky film made up of bacteria that constantly forms on your teeth. It’s the main cause of cavities and gum disease. Luckily, it can be removed with regular brushing and flossing.

⚠️ Tartar (Calculus) forms when plaque isn’t removed and hardens over time. It bonds strongly to your teeth and can only be removed by a dental professional. Tartar buildup can lead to gum inflammation, bad breath, and more serious dental issues.

🛡️ How to Prevent Tartar:
• Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste
• Floss daily to remove plaque between teeth
• Use an antiseptic mouthwash
• Visit your dentist for regular cleanings

Don’t wait until plaque becomes tartar — prevention is key to a healthier mouth and a brighter smile! 😁

Did you know that your mouth’s pH level plays a huge role in your dental health? A balanced pH (around 7) helps protect your teeth, while an acidic environment (below 5.5) can lead to enamel erosion and cavities.

How to Maintain a Healthy pH:

✅ Drink Water – Helps neutralize acids and wash away bacteria.
✅ Limit Sugary & Acidic Foods – Soda, citrus, and sweets can drop your pH.
✅ Eat Alkaline Foods – Dairy, leafy greens, and nuts can help balance acidity.
