I started running in November 2024, 3 months postpartum, with one of my dearest friends.
We went from literally counting down the seconds to a 2 minute run interval to running 2 half marathons to now training for our first marathon!! AAHHHHHH
Running has taught me self discipline, delayed gratification, and has made me feel so proud of my body and what it’s capable of.
Every time we run just a little farther or a little faster I’m like DAMN I DID THAT!! I continuously showed up for myself and I can literally see my brain and body getting stronger.
I also love a good yap session, so that makes long runs a lot more fun lol
We may be slow, and have no idea what a Fartlek run is, but we’re having a good tiiiiiime!
I am so thankful for my amazing friend who pushes me and makes my life so much sweeter and my hubby who encourages me and fixes my knee pain with his sports chiropractor skills.
Happy global running day 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
