"I am a classically trained artist who majored in art history with a focus on the Italian Renaissance and Baroque. I studied and lived in Florence, Italy and wrote my senior thesis on Da Vinci and the intersection of art and science. As a physician, I have worked both in the inpatient hospital setting and with outpatient clinics. I have practiced medicine on both coasts of the country and New Zeal

and. I have taught medical students and resident physicians, and have written articles found in medical journals and textbooks on various topics from nutrition to fungal skin infections. I enjoy bringing together eastern and western medicine to provide the best possible care for the patient as a whole. I also believe in working hand-in-hand with the patient as a partner, supporting them in their journey to health. Family medicine allows me to address the many dimensions of a patient. Unlike other specialties, family medicine encompasses all ages and sexes, each organ system and every disease entity. Family physicians also pay special attention to their patientsโ€™ lives within the context of family and the community. While there are similarities between family medicine and the other primary care specialties, family physicians have the incredible opportunity to have an impact on the health of an individual patient over their lifetime. I believe it is essential to spend enough time with each individual to establish a detailed symptom and health history and to talk about available treatment options.
