Every Wednesday, we have our tiny special guest join our residents during lunch. He makes his rounds saying hi to everyone, riding his balance bike, and spreading smiles wherever he goes.

🇮🇹 La Via Italia Family Night 🇮🇹

On Saturday afternoon, Auberge came alive with the spirit of Italy as we gathered with families for La Via Italia Family Night—the joyful culmination of a month-long journey through Italian art, culture, and cuisine.

Throughout the month, residents explored Italy through creative art experiences, cultural traditions, and delicious food, making this celebration especially meaningful. The afternoon was filled with live music by Matt Robertson, with familiar songs that had everyone singing along and soaking in the moment 🎶. Guests also enjoyed comforting ravioli and sweet panettone, bringing authentic flavors and warmth to the celebration.

Moments like these remind us that shared experiences—music, food, and culture—create lasting joy and connection. 💛

We were absolutely quackers celebrating National Rubber Duck Day at The Auberge! Residents had a feather-ruffling good time baking bill-icious homemade sugar duck cookies, painting ducks that were truly unbeak-lievable, and soaking up some egg-cellent duck education (no fowl play here!).

Then things really went down the hatch—rubber duckies everywhere, humans waddling like pros, and a duck dance that was no small quackcomplishment. We winged it, shook our tail feathers, and proved once again that we refuse to be duck-pressed or stuck in a rut.

🧇 Cook’s Corner with Eden 🧇

Today, our residents waffled over a very important question: pancake mix waffles or homemade waffles?

After flipping for fun and stacking up the samples, the verdict was clear—homemade waffles rose to the occasion and took the top spot! Eden shared her recipe, and it was truly butter than expected.

This activity was syrup-tiously fun and proved once again that the best moments happen when we mix connection, creativity, and a little friendly competition. At Auberge, we’re always ready to whisk up joy and serve experiences worth savoring.

No matter how you stack it, today was a waffle-y good time!

Santa! We know him! 🎅✨ (and yes… we double-checked—it really was him 😉)

Last week, we had the most wonderful visit with Santa here at The Auberge! There were lots of smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer as our residents enjoyed some quality time with the big guy himself. Rumor has it a few wish lists may have been updated on the spot—and everyone was definitely on the nice list ❤️🎄

Moments like these remind us that you’re never too old for a little Christmas magic (or a visit from Santa).

A Night of Remembrance 🕯️

This evening, our community came together for a candlelight remembrance service led by our wonderful licensed social worker, with the support of Ovation Hospice . It was a meaningful moment to honor and remember the incredible individuals who have touched our lives and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We are so grateful to the families who trust us with the care of their loved ones, and to the families and staff who joined us both in person and via Zoom. Thank you to Ovation Hospice for partnering with us, and to everyone who helped create a beautiful evening of reflection, connection, and remembrance.
