We're thrilled to share that Dr. Candice Morrissey, Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Anesthesiology, has been selected as a 2025–2026 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow—one of the most prestigious opportunities in health policy leadership.

She will spend the upcoming year in Washington, D.C., contributing to national health policy development through legislative and executive branch placements.

Dr. Morrissey is only the third The University of Utah faculty member to receive this honor in the fellowship’s 50+ year history.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Duggan, Visiting Professor from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, to our department this week! Dr. Duggan—Vice Chair of Professional Development and Faculty Affairs at UAB Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine —shared her expertise through two engaging talks: “Scientific Frameworks Advancing the Science of Wellbeing: Developing the WISH Assessment” at our Wednesday Research Conference and “The Psychological Experience of Workplace Change” during Thursday Grand Rounds.
