Progress in multiple sclerosis care isn’t just about new medications—it’s about how those options are used to support real lives.

In a recent NeurologyLive NeuroVoices article, our very own certified MS nurse Katrina Bawden, MSN, MSCN, FNP-C of Rocky Mountain MS Clinic discusses how advances in MS treatment are changing care for women, particularly across life stages such as pregnancy, postpartum care, and long-term disease management.

She also addresses areas where evidence is still emerging—including menopause and newer therapies—underscoring the importance of individualized, thoughtful decision-making.

At Rocky Mountain MS Clinic, this approach means meeting patients where they are, revisiting decisions as circumstances change, and grounding care in both clinical evidence and patient experience.

Special thanks to Marco Meglio of NeurologyLive for highlighting this important conversation!

IV nurses are highly specialized clinicians who blend technical precision with constant patient assessment to safely deliver complex infusion therapies. They manage vascular access, administer high-risk medications, and catch potential reactions before they turn into emergencies — basically, they are the ultimate multitaskers with superhero reflexes.

IV Nurses Week is observed January 26–30, giving us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the expertise and impact of IV nurses everywhere. Here at RMMSC, I invite you to join me in thanking our infusion nurses — Will, Sariah, Angela, Tessa, Valorie, Dale, April, Christopher “Mike,” Lexee, Laura, Deborah, Julia, Kendall, Crystal, and Kelli — for their skill, vigilance, and compassion in caring for our patients every day. 💙
