When something matters, research comes first.
Read the reviews. Talk to the running store. Get the gait analysis. Buy the right shoe, not the cheap one.
And your knee still hurts.
So running — the thing that used to clear your head, the morning routine that anchored your day, the races you trained for — that's all on hold now.
Or you push through the pain and pay for it the next day.
Either way, you're not running the way you want to.
You've done what makes sense:
- Stability shoes, neutral shoes, cushioned shoes
- Gait analysis at three different stores
- Custom orthotics ($300)
- Changed your surfaces, your pace, your stride
The knee doesn't care.
Because here's what the running store can't see:
Your pelvis is tilted or rotated. That forces your femur into internal rotation. Which throws off your knee alignment with every single stride.
The shoe can cushion the impact. But it can't fix mechanics.
You can spend another $400 on the next "perfect" shoe. Or you can fix what's actually causing the problem.
Fix the pelvis. Restore hip mechanics. The knee works. Any shoe works.
