You’ve probably heard “just listen to your body” but what does that actually mean?

A healthy relationship with food isn’t about never having cravings or always eating perfectly.

It looks more like:
• Trusting yourself to eat without spiraling
• Letting go of food rules that cause stress
• Feeling confident you can come back to your values, even after a tough day

This kind of relationship isn’t luck, it’s a skill. And it’s one you can develop.

With the right strategy and support, it becomes less about control, and more about connection.

Everyone has a different definition of “healthy eating” but it’s not just about what you eat.

It’s about how you eat, how you feel, and the kind of relationship you’re building with food and your body.

And that relationship is absolutely worth taking care of.

You say you’re not racist. Cool. But when was the last time you interrupted racism?

Because here’s the truth:
The racists are loud.
They’re bold.
And they are organizing.

Meanwhile, a lot of well-meaning white folks are staying quiet to “keep the peace” at family dinners, in group chats, or at work.

But that silence?
It isn’t neutral.
It’s permission.

If you’re white, this is your work.
Not performatively.
Not perfectly.
But consistently.

Our Civic Accountability and Engagement Circle exists exactly for this.

We meet monthly to practice using our voices, having hard conversations, and staying accountable, especially when it’s uncomfortable.

Because allyship isn’t a vibe. It’s action.

When I say “we work on mindset” inside coaching,
I don’t mean the “life is great!” toxic type s**t.

I mean building real skills, like how you talk to yourself when life feels heavy.

These tools aren’t just for your workouts.
They’re for the messy days.
They’re for motherhood.
They’re for your real, full life.

And you’re allowed to practice them imperfectly.
Self-talk shapes everything.

Being able to reframe unhelpful thoughts into powerful or even more neutral, thoughts is a skill that makes a real difference in parenting, in how you show up for yourself, and in how you navigate the hard days.

It’s never about being perfect. It’s about building trust within yourself and with the mom that you already are.

Because the goal isn’t to “fix” yourself.
The goal is to support yourself better.
And the way you speak to yourself is one of the ways you can start doing that, today. **t

It’s not just about the workouts we do.
It’s not just about showing up in the gym.

It’s about showing up to dismantle the systems that harm us, all of us.
It’s about taking the fire we feel and turning it into action.
Not just once.
Not just when it’s trending.
Every damn day.

Being mad isn’t enough.
Marching once isn’t enough.

We need to stay in it.
We need to do the hard, uncomfortable work, consistently.

That’s why I created our Civic Action & Accountability Group.
We meet monthly to keep showing up.
To have the hard conversations.
To take tangible steps toward real change, not just for ourselves, but for the communities that need it most.

Especially if you’re a white woman:
It’s on us to step up more.
It’s on us to use our voices, our votes, and our actions to help tear down the systems that were never built for justice.

The revolution isn’t a one-time event.
It’s a lifelong practice.
And we need you in it.

If you’re ready to do more than be mad, if you’re ready to f**k it up for real , we’re waiting for you.

Sign up and join us for our May meeting through the link in my bio.

Your power isn’t in doing it perfectly.
It’s in continuing to show up.
To take action.
Even when it feels messy.
Even when it feels hard.
Even when your brain tries to convince you it’s not worth it unless it’s perfect.

Progress has never needed you to be perfect.
It just needed you to keep going.

I still have hard body image days. Even with all the mindset tools. Even with years of coaching. Even when I know my worth isn’t tied to how I look.

And when those days hit, I don’t try to “fix” my body, I support myself through the feelings.

This post shares what I actually do when body image stuff gets loud. No shame. No spiraling. Just small, grounded ways to come back to myself.

If you’ve ever had one of those days, the “ugh, nothing feels good, nothing looks right” days, I hope this helps you pause, breathe, and care for yourself a little more gently.

Save this for the next time it gets tough, & share it with a friend who might need it too.

You’re not the problem.
Your approach just hasn’t matched your reality.

This post breaks down how things can actually feel different, starting with two shifts that make a huge difference over time:
-Starting from where you are
-Building in flexibility

It’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about creating a way forward that feels doable, so you can finally feel more in control, more confident, and less like you’re starting over every week.

Let me know which part landed for you. or what you’re shifting this week
