Exactly! π₯
When I saw this post, it felt like Cong just explained why I'm committed to staying healthy and fit. I'm turning 40 next year and haven't had my little one yet. I know many people ask when that will happen, but that's a topic for another post. If, by the grace of God, we have our mini-me's soon, I'll be a senior citizen by the time they reach their 20s. I must take care of myself now because I don't know if I'll still be here to watch them grow.
After facing health challenges three years ago, it was like a wake-up call. I realized that if I don't make these changes now, I might not get to enjoy the future I've been working so hard for. Don't wait for a life-changing event to force you into action for your health.
People say that staying healthy is expensive, but let's put it this way:
People willingly/forcefully spend $1,000 (Php 55,000) on:
ππ» Buying the latest iPhone, which, by the way, is even more expensive ($1,500 = Php 100,000), and
they're willing to save and work overtime to afford it.
ππ» 1 to 2 nights in the ICU, where all their hard-earned money disappears in just 2 nights π. Something that may come unexpected, unfortunately.
ππ» A year's worth of gym membership and healthy meals. It might seem expensive, but your life is priceless.
ππ» Starting a health business that not only promotes physical health but can also make you financially healthy.
It's all about choices; it's just up to us which one we want to prioritize.
Some might unfollow me for sounding like a broken record, repeating this message over and over again, but it's my advocacy, and I'll never stop encouraging everyone to prioritize their health and wellness.
