Last night the Ogden Threshold Choir singers joined the Salt Lake Valley Threshold Singers at a memorial for Community Nursing Service Hospice patients who passed last year. Fmilies in attendance this year at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, who hosted the gathering. We sang Be Still, Weight of the World and Love Will Last.

Our sisters in song in New York

The Hospicare Threshold Choir chapter of Threshold Choir International started in Ithaca in 2017. It is a presence choir that sings acapella in very small groups of 2-4 singers for people at the thresholds of life. Threshold Choir sings to people in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, hospitals, and at other locations in the community. Threshold Choir sings with compassion, shared through song, to those at the end of life, facing the weight of illness and struggling with the burden of difficult times. Threshold Choir brings comfort, peace, and a sense of well-being to those in need.

Anyone is welcome to stroll the grounds, have a picnic, walk their dogs, and listen to the sweet sounds of the Threshold Choir as they rehearse and serenade our patients in the residence. Threshold Choir rehearsals are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 5-6:30 p.m. at Hospicare in the back gardens.
