We will continue creating homemade, reheatable meals as long as we are able. The COVID-19 health crisis demands that we continue to adhere to every precaution to ensure the safety of our loved ones. Here is the plan moving forward:

Urban Pioneer Foods is moving to delivery service in Salt Lake County. All items must be preordered and prepaid. Deliveries 10-3 and pickup 10-1 are on Saturdays. $5 delivery for orders in Salt Lake County. If you live outside of Salt Lake County and would like to order food, please reach out via email urbanpioneer11@gmail.com to see if we can find a solution for you. Please read through the details below:
1) VIEWING THE URBAN PIONEER MENU
Weekly menus will be posted on facebook, instagram and our email newsletter. You may sign up for the weekly email menu requesting to be added by sending us an email at urbanpioneer11@gmail.com. fb: /urbanpioneerfoodsSLC/

2) ORDERING FROM URBAN PIONEER
Orders will be accepted via email only at this time; urbanpioneer11@gmail.com. After viewing the menu, please email your order by noon on WEDNESDAY. Our food is prepared fresh, so we need time to prepare and package these meals. Include the following information in your email:
Name
Telephone Number
Address
Special Delivery Instructions to help our driver
Details for your order (item and quantity)

3) PAYING URBAN PIONEER
After we receive your order, I will send a confirmation and total for payment. All orders must be prepaid before delivery. Our preferred payment method is Venmo:
If that is not an option for you, I can accept credit card payments over the phone at 801-598-7702.

4) ENJOYING YOUR FOOD
Deliveries will go out on SATURDAY between 10-3 and pm. We recommend reheating our meals in the oven using the instructions provided on the label. Most meals freeze well and can be thawed, reheated and enjoyed at a later time. Thank you for your support! Stay safe, get vaccinated! In the meantime, I hope my food can provide a loving meal for you and your loved ones. Stay safe, stay healthy. We can do this together!

These women and their work are a true treasure. Please don’t let this slip away. Help if you can.

Throughout our 23 years as restaurateurs, we’ve always identified as deeply self-reliant. Even during three difficult and stressful pandemic years — and even when we received threats for advocating for the monuments — we declined offers from friends to help us fundraise for our survival.

But we’ve finally accepted that we need help. With the support and guidance of our community, and with the continued aspirations to make people happy with our food and to be of benefit … we have started a GoFundMe.
