This patient’s results highlight how Botox® can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while maintaining a natural and refreshed look.

✨ Ultherapy® FAQs – Everything You Need to Know ✨

Thinking about skin tightening but not ready for surgery? Here’s what makes Ultherapy a favorite.

💬 What is Ultherapy?
It is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment to lift skin on the neck, chin, and brow and smooth lines on the chest using microfocused ultrasound.

💬 How is it different from lasers?
Ultherapy uses ultrasound to go deeper than lasers, targeting the skin’s foundation to stimulate collagen production with no downtime required.

💬 Can it replace a facelift?
It treats the same foundational layer as surgery, but results are more subtle. This makes it ideal if you are not ready for surgery or want to extend the effects of a previous procedure.

💬 How long do results last?
Results vary, but fresh collagen develops over two to six months and can be maintained with touch-up treatments.

💬 Is it safe?
Yes. More than one million treatments have been performed worldwide, and ultrasound has been trusted in medicine for over 50 years.

💬 Who is a good candidate?
Anyone with mild to moderate skin laxity who wants a natural-looking lift without downtime.

📅 Book your consultation today to see if Ultherapy is right for you.

Psoriasis or Eczema? Can You Tell the Difference?

Both psoriasis and eczema cause red, itchy patches on your skin, but they’re not the same thing.

Key Differences:
- Psoriasis: Often has thick, scaly patches that appear silvery-white. Common on elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back.
- Eczema: Usually looks more inflamed and can ooze or crust over. It often shows up inside elbows, behind knees, or on hands.
- Itch Factor: Eczema tends to itch more intensely, while psoriasis may feel sore or cause burning.

Breakout or Purge? Starting a new skincare product and noticing more blemishes? Don't panic, it might be a purge, not a breakout.

🔍 Here's how to tell:

Purging: Occurs in areas where you typically break out, triggered by products that increase cell turnover (like retinoids or AHAs).

Breakouts: Can appear in new areas and may be caused by factors like stress, hormones, or pore-clogging products.

⏳ Duration Matters:

Purging: Usually lasts 4–6 weeks as your skin adjusts.

Breakouts: May persist longer if underlying causes aren't addressed.

🧐 Still Unsure?
If you're experiencing prolonged irritation, redness, or discomfort, it's best to consult a professional.

4 Skin Hydration Myths—Debunked:

1. Drinking water is enough to hydrate your skin
Drinking water supports your overall health, but skin needs topical moisture too. Ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid help lock water in and protect your skin barrier from the outside.

2. Oily skin doesn’t need hydration
Hydration is about water, not oil. Oily skin can still be dehydrated and overproducing oil to compensate. Lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizers are key to balance.

3. All moisturizers work the same
They don’t. Lotions, creams, and serums all function differently depending on your skin type, condition, and the season. Choosing the right formula matters.

4. Skin doesn’t need hydration in colder months
Cold, dry air strips moisture fast. Skipping hydration in the winter can lead to flakiness, sensitivity, and a weakened skin barrier. This is the season your skin needs it most.

Healthy skin starts with hydration—on the inside and out.

Over half of people experience abnormally dry skin — a condition known as xerosis — but that doesn’t mean you have to live with it.

Here are the top 3 proven compounds to help combat dry skin:

💧 Hyaluronic Acid
This moisture magnet can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, helping your skin stay plump, hydrated, and smooth.

💧 Ceramides
These are the essential fats that make up your skin’s natural barrier. Ceramides help lock in moisture and protect against irritants.

💧 Lactic Acid
A gentle exfoliator that also acts as a humectant, lactic acid not only removes dead, flaky skin but also attracts water to the skin, improving softness and hydration.

Packed with vitamins and antioxidants, fruits and veggies (especially orange & green ones) fight inflammation and help protect against sun damage. Think carrots, sweet potatoes, kale, and broccoli!

🥑 Embrace Healthy Fats
Omega-3 & Omega-6 fatty acids (found in olive oil, salmon, and nuts) hydrate your skin and may even help prevent wrinkles.
