What is Lip Blushing?!

Lip blushing is semi-permanent, tattooed makeup that tints your lips using a cosmetic tattoo gun (on a low setting) and water-based inks. The result is kind of similar to lip fillers—in that your lips will look a little fuller simply by being defined and enhanced with pigment—but lip blushing won’t actually change the shape or feeling of your lips. Instead, it’ll just leave you with a soft, shaded-in color that can enhance your lip symmetry, cover uneven pigmentation or scars, and give you the illusion of bigger, fuller lips.

During the procedure your lips will swell, but everyone is different on the amount of edema that occurs. Good news, the swelling is temporary and will go down over the course of a couple of hours.

IPL gone wrong.
IPL also known as Photofacial is a treatment to remove age spots.
IPL is attracted to pigment and runs a risk of burns if the skin has recent sun exposure and or is darker. As you can see here, this client has extensive sun exposure with tan skin. Unfortunately the med spa chose to treat her regardless of these big contraindications, that in turn left her with bad burns. This client wasn’t aware of these risks and not educated on the treatment.
