Pelvic Physical Therapy and Wellness is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone that visits our clinics, therefore we will continue to have mask requirements until the targeted date of July 1, 2021. Pelvic Physical Therapy and Wellness is excited to announce our newest pelvic floor therapist Andrea Corwin DPT. Andrea is working at our Draper clinic four days a week to assist with all your pelvic therapy needs.

Andrea received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Utah. She also became a Pilates practitioner through Polestar Pilates and uses the principles of both yoga and Pilates in her therapy interventions with patients when facilitating mobility, stability and enhanced mind-body connection with breathing.

With 2020 coming to a close we look back over this transformative year with the hope that even though we remain six feet apart that we are closer than ever. This year has taught us the value in things that at times seemed to just be the normal, and that even in hard times we will persevere.

From all of us at Pelvic Physical Therapy and Wellness we want to express our gratitude for the relationships we have with each of you, and we wish you happy holidays and the very best for the new year.

The health and safety of our patients, employees and their families continues to be our top priority. Due to the increase in the spread of the COVID-19 virus we have adopted a "No Mask, No Entry" policy. If you are unable to wear a mask due to heath related issues we encourage you to consider telehealth visits.

Approved face coverings reduce the risk of transmission of infection. Bandanas, neck gaiters, and masks with valves or vents are not acceptable forms of face coverings.

As we continue to do all we can to protect each other we thank you for your understanding. We also look forward to continuing to provide you with the care that you deserve.

It’s not normal?

This question almost always comes up when we are discussing urine leakage with men and women both in and out of the clinic. As a pelvic physical therapist urine leakage (urinary incontinence) is one of the things we treat on a daily basis. There are so many things that can contribute to it. Childbirth, surgery, weight gain and muscle weakness or spasm are only a few of the potential factors. Regardless of age or the cause, please know that it is not normal to leak urine!! It is incredibly common but does not have to be “normal” for anyone. It is often very easy to treat and people find a lot of success and are able to live leak free.

One of the biggest challenges is that people don’t know that there is help out there besides surgery. There is! How does it sound to jump, run, exercise, laugh, sneeze, walk in your door, hear running water, etc. without leaking? So many have already done it and so can you!
