What was once a hidden gem donut shop for me while at the U of U in SLC… has become an every day stop for thousands of Utahns with the increased media exposure.

Have you been to Fresh Donut & Deli ?? Grab a glazed, maple bar, and vanilla cake with peanuts. Trust me.

Brenda and Wilson deserve the recognition of running this shop for over 25 years!

Over the next few days I will share my favorite donut from each of the Top 32 donut shops in 4 bracket sections.

It’s not about “one bite” reviews - it’s about tasting all the donuts in each shop to find “The Ring Leader” or donut that keeps you coming back.

EVERY donut shop has at least one Ring Leader (and some have multiple hits that people love). Trust me.

Utah’s most underrated donut - one of the best glazed donuts in the state located at the small local bakery

Light, fluffy, hint of almond in the glaze…

A box of glazed donuts remind me of youth activities - I can’t think of a better treat to have after running around with my friends when I was younger.

A Utah original! Sugar Cookie Doughnut 🩷🍩🩷

Love love love that has gone all in on their new Utah location.

The new Sugar House Cookie Doughnut did it right with the almond doughnut base.

Have you tried this new doughnut? (Again, only in Utah - sorry Cali peeps).

I recommend it!

It’s official from📍New Orleans Best beignet taste test in New Orleans results…I’m going with over for best beignet in NOLA.Why?I tried multiple locations of both shops, tried both dine-in and to-go, and at different times of day…Basically, was eating beignets all day every day for 6 days. 😂Cafe Beignet consistently delivered a fluffier, tastier beignet experience. 9/10 for Cafe Beignet (just need more sugar)7/10 for Cafe du MondeWhat’s your opinion?Who wins?We all win when eating beignets!For those in Utah, is the best! They serve hot and fresh beignets to pair with their amazing pretzels.
