Kindsight Therapy, LLC

Kindsight Therapy, LLC At Kindsight Therapy, LLC, my focus is to help you grow through whatever life has thrown at you.

I specialize in working with adults navigating trauma, including religious trauma, and concerns related to s*xual health and intimacy. I also help people move through the hard stuff like anxiety, burnout, and big life changes so they can come home to themselves again. My approach is compassionate, personalized, and grounded in the belief that healing is a collaborative process. I create a safe, affirming space where clients can explore both emotional and s*xual well-being without shame or judgment. With over twenty-five years of experience in the mental health field, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma therapist and s*x therapist who helps clients reclaim connection, confidence, and joy in their intimate lives. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Sexology to deepen my expertise and broaden my impact in the field of s*xual health and wellness. My trauma training includes hypnotherapy and psychodrama through the Wellness Institute near Seattle, as well as certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based trauma treatment. I’ve completed basic, advanced, and enhanced ART trainings and have seen truly remarkable results using this method. I bring warmth, insight, and authenticity to my work—and I believe that growth, healing, and pleasure are all possible, no matter where you're starting from. My practice is affirming, s*x-positive, and trauma-informed because you deserve to feel whole in every part of your life.

💜 Your story matters. 💜

“You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.” — Anne Lamott

Silence only benefits the oppressor and speaking up shines light where darkness hides. Telling the truth is not about revenge — it’s about reclaiming your power, validating your experience, and breaking the cycle for yourself AND others.

Your voice can change the story — for you and for those still searching for theirs.

If you or someone you love is in an abusive relationship — or you’re wondering if what you’re experiencing might be abuse — you are not alone. 💜

Join us for a powerful morning of education, resources, and support designed to help you recognize abuse and learn how to leave safely.

“Why don’t they just leave?”

It’s one of the most common questions asked about abuse or a violent event.

But here’s the truth: even survivors often ask themselves the same thing.

👉 Why didn’t I walk away?
👉 Why did I laugh or agree with them?
👉 Why couldn’t I speak up?
👉 Why didn't I call someone for help?

The answer lies in the body’s survival responses. Most people have heard of fight or flight, but there are two others: freeze and fawn.

⚡ In freeze, the logical brain shuts down. Survivors may feel paralyzed—unable to speak, move, or even think clearly.
⚡ In fawn, the survival instinct is to appease—calming, placating, or managing the abuser’s emotions until there’s a chance for safety.

These are not choices. They’re subconscious, automatic responses from the nervous system designed to minimize harm.

Later, survivors often feel guilt or shame for not fighting back or leaving sooner. But the truth is: their body kept them alive the best way it knew how.

Join us on September 27th for Quiet No More, an educational event that breaks the silence on domestic violence. More information is in the comments.
