🩺 Experience & Education
Micaela has been in the medical field for 11 years, beginning her career in 2014. She started as a nurse intern while completing nursing school at King University, graduating in 2015. After graduation, she spent over five years as a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum nurse, where she also received specialized training in the Special Care Nursery, caring for medically fragile infants and those requiring additional support.
Driven to further her education, Micaela returned to King University and earned her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration, graduating in Fall 2019. She then returned home to help open two school-based health clinics in her community.
💙 Why Healthcare?
From a young age, Micaela knew she wanted to work in healthcare. Giving back to her hometown has always been important to her, and she feels called to serve her community by caring for local children and educators.
🩺 Areas of Care
Micaela provides walk-in urgent care for students, faculty, and staff. While trained in family medicine, she primarily treats acute pediatric patients and also provides care for adults.
🌟 Life Outside the Clinic
When she’s not at work, Micaela enjoys spending time with her family. She’s often coaching her children’s youth sports teams or cheering them on from the stands. She also enjoys time on their riverbank, attending church, and pursuing her passion for photography, capturing meaningful moments through her lens.
❤️ Favorite Part of Being a Provider
Micaela treasures the relationships she builds with children through school-based health. Watching students grow over the years and helping them learn the importance of caring for their health is something she considers a true blessing—and a responsibility she holds close to her heart.
We’re proud to have Micaela serving our schools and community!
