You don’t earn food through exercise! That is a disordered way of thinking.
You don’t have to “exercise off” food that you’ve eaten. That is a disordered way of thinking (and not scientifically accurate at all.)
You don’t justify food that you’ve eaten through exercise. This is a disordered way of thinking.
➡️➡️➡️ BUT if you have not properly fueled your body with food and water, then you should not exercise. This is dangerous to your health.

To reach full recovery, most people have to go through the pendulum swing from restriction to extreme hunger. Extreme hunger means eating a lot of food, that is ok! Every part of your body needs that fuel to heal. Let it 💙

Team snacks 🎉 Very few people eat meals that contain enough calories alone to meet their needs for the day.
Need some snack ideas? It’s always a good idea to pair carbohydrates with protein for blood sugar balance. This helps keep you comfortable until the next meal time.
- fruit with cheese
- peanut butter crackers
- Greek yogurt and granola
- snack bar
- trail mix
- smoothie with fruit and a source of protein, milk, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, h**p hearts, protein powder (not just water!)

Do your kids come home from school starving? Here are some simple snack ideas to satisfy them and give them energy until dinner 🎉
Mix, match, and add other food based on what works for your kiddo. Ideally, make sure snacks include some protein and/or fat and carbohydrate.
No matter what you serve make sure you let your kiddo listen to their body to determine the portion they eat - whether that’s more or less than you think they should be having.

Satisfies you physically and mentally. Whatever amount of food allows you to leave the meal no longer thinking about food and fully engaged in your next task. Note - it’s NOT an amount of food that leaves you feeling uncomfortably stuffed. But how do you know?!?! Intuitive eating. You can start by reading the book. We highly recommend walking through the process with a professional.

You need more than one or two meals a day. Food is what gives your body energy. Eating adequately is what helps prevent binging. Losing weight because you’re skipping meals is not good for your body!

Although there is no cookie cutter or one size fits all treatment plan, there are some common components. Often, your first appointment will be an hour long initial consult to find out more about you and your goals and get you started in the right direction. Follow ups are often 30 minutes. Depending on your needs, nutrition experientials at a restaurant or grocery store can easily be included.
