We also understand choosing a skilled nursing facility is an important and sometimes difficult decision. The term “nursing home,” might make you apprehensive, but we’re not a traditional nursing home. Whether you need short-term rehab or long-term care, we will design a plan to fit you and your loved ones.

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating both Nurses Week and National Nursing Home Week, and it was truly a week to remember! 💙
From fun dress - up days to delicious food and special treats, each day was filled with laughter, appreciation, and team spirit. Our staff showed up with creativity and enthusiasm, making every moment enjoyable for everyone involved.
While we took time to recognize our incredible nurses for their dedication and compassion, we also made it a point to celebrate all of our nursing home staff. It takes an entire team to provide the care, comfort, and support our residents deserve, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.
Thank you for your hard work, your kindness, and the heart you bring to our building every single day. We appreciate you more than words can express!

Gina's devotion to care and compassion shines through in everything she does for our residents, patients, and staff. As our Director of Nursing, she leads with kindness, dedication, and a true heart for serving others. ❤️
Gina is always rounding on the floor to ensure quality care is being provided and that every resident and patient's needs are being met. She is also a constant source of support and guidance for staff whenever needed. Her compassionate leadership and commitment make a lasting impact on everyone around her.
Gina has been a nurse since 1980, dedicating an incredible 46 years to the nursing profession! Gina has been the Director of Nursing for this building since back in 1984 when we were called Mark Twain Convalescent and has been here for a combined 35 years. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family.
Thank you, Gina, for your unwavering compassion, leadership, and dedication to caring for others. We are so grateful to have you as part of our team!💙

We had some special visitors hopping by last week at Golden San Andreas Care Center!
The Calaveras County Jumping Frogs brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of excitement to our residents and staff. From learning about the famous frog jumping tradition to watching these talented little jumpers in action, it was a fun - filled experience everyone enjoyed!

Last week, we proudly celebrated Medical Records Week at Golden San Andreas, recognizing the incredible work happening behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
A special shoutout to our Medical Records Director, Tisha Skeen. Tisha began her healthcare journey as a CNA in 2003 and transitioned into a Medical Records Assistant in 2005, where she quickly stepped into a leadership role. With over 21 years of experience in medical records, her knowledge, organization, and dedication are truly unmatched. On top of her professional accomplishments, Tisha is currently continuing her education in nursing, showcasing her ongoing commitment to growth and patient care. We're grateful to have had her as part of the Golden San Andreas team this past year!
We also want to recognize Morgan Fautt, our Medical Records Assistant, who has been with us for 4 months. Morgan has been tremendous support to Tisha and plays an important role not only in medical records but also in assisting other departments throughout the building. Her willingness to help wherever needed does not go unnoticed.
Thank you both for your hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. You help ensure our residents receive the best care every day!💙

Earlier this Month we Celebrated Nursing Home Administrators Week. We are Proud to have Celebrated the leadership and dedication of our Administrator Fitzgerald Gaines, here at Golden San Andreas Care Center.
With Nearly 15 years of experience as an Adminstrator, Fitzgerald has brought commitment, guidance, and heart to everything he does. His leadership helps create a supportive enviroment for both our residents and staff, ensuring our community receives the compassionate care it deserves every day.
When he's not at our community, Fitzgerald enjoys Fishing, watching collage football, traveling and spending quality time with his family.

Today we celebrate World Social Work Day by recognizing who support our residents and families every day.
At Golden San Andreas Care Center, we are proud to highlight our incredible Social Services team - Social Services Director Rita Ross and Social Services Assistant Jessica Hidalgo. Their dedication, empathy, and advocacy make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Rita and Jessica work tirelessly to ensure our residents feel supported, heard, and cared for. From helping families navigate important decisions to providing emotional support and resources, they are truly the heart of our social services department.

Golden San Andreas Care Center is proud to recognize Carina Rosa for her incredible dedication, growth, and leadership!
Carina's journey is truly inspiring. She began her career in 2011 by taking a CNA class, soon becoming a CNA and discovering her passion for patient care. Determined to grow, she continued her education through nursing school, earning her LVN license and stepping into the role of Charge Nurse.
Her Commitment didn't stop there - Carina advanced to Unit Manager, became a CNA Instructor to help guide and mentor future caregivers, served as a Wound Nurse, and now excels in her current role as Infection Prevention.
Throughout every step of her journey, Carina has remained the same sweet, caring, and compassionate professional. She loves her patients, stays incredibly organized, and always goes out of her way to help others - whether it's supporting residents, families, or her fellow team members.
Carina, your hard work, heart, and leadership make a diference every single day. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Golden San Andreas family. Congratulations on being our Employee of the month!🎉👏
