Breaking the Cycle

Tear my heart out and then wrap it round and round
…………..till it breaks?
The silence of pain whistles
through the cracks of time capsules
and the pendulum’s swing of maltreatment
where does it go?
where does it end?

How to break the chain of destruction
with instruction
know how to unplug, unwind, the induction
the enmeshment.
where everyone fends for their own
safe transformation
centuries of lives that have died before them

Designate power, that line in the sand.
when enough is enough
and one is iundecisive
efforts get squashed
battle cries to save the embryo
forthcoming into a lifetime without preservation

So, break that cycle my friend before it’s too late.
Do it, for your life depends on it
Mend your relationships before the vacuum seeps in
Transcend new paradigms with new
traditions and new memories, for you,
your families, and beyond
