Congratulations to Jess Amerson for completing her Mental HealtH First Aid Certification yesterday πŸ’™

Yesterday, the Mental Health First Aid team of Jason Vaquera, Mental Health First Aid Coordinator/Outreach Worker and Erika Aime Baeza, Mental Health Awareness Training Coordinator, taught Adult Mental Health First Aid to 5 Howard College - San Angelo employees and 2 community members.

This training equips people with the tools to assist individuals who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Participants learned to recognize early warning signs, worsening signs and symptoms, and crisis signs and symptoms, and how to provide support using the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan.

If you would like to learn how to make a difference and help reduce the stigma associated with mental health, please contact Jason Vaquera or Erika Aime Baeza at 325-658-7750, ext. 381.
