Quijotes of San Antonio- Ambassadors of Health

Quijotes of San Antonio- Ambassadors of Health An annual medical service mission to areas in Oaxaca, Mexico, based in San Antonio, Texas.

The missionary team is comprised of physicians, dentists, nurses,
pharmacists, lab tecnicians,psychologists, ancillary staff, and health career
students, that join together in the mission to provide free medical
services to the underserved, impoverished communities of Oaxaca, Mexico and
the surrounding region. All members are volunteers and fund their own participation
every year.

Sonrisas Oaxaquenas is a nonprofit started by Dr. Rafael Medina Banos in 2010 that provides dental care and makes dentures for those in need in Oaxaca and surrounding small communities. He and his team have provided over 5000 dentures to needy patients in exchange for a donation of blood to their local hospitals! He states that he was inspired to create his organization when he started volunteering with Quijotes of SA many years ago; realizing the great need of the poor for dental care.
