Great weekend of Defensive Tactics training and Fi****ms Training with 3CPG and Elite Fi****ms Training. Great group of individuals and thankful for the opportunity to travel and put on some training. Was also great receiving instruction from Elite Fi****ms Training on the range and sharing ideas and tactics. Great time.

Wonderful Training on Monday. Never "THE" way, but "A" way. As an Instructor I and we must keep training ourselves to become better in order to continuously provide an improving product. Whatever you train, Whoever you train with, just stay consistent. Keep growing, learn from each other, never get Complacent. No one knows it all, this is an industry of ever changing knowledge.

DDS holds 3 Instructors with Philipe Ducksworth being the owner. Thankful for another stripe on Philipe's Blue belt present by Professor Jacob Patrick Landin . As an Instructor one should constantly aim to sharpen their craft. This means more Range time as a Firearm Instructor. More Mat Time as a Defensive Tactics Instructor. More time in the Books as an Academic Instructor and so forth. Never become Complacent. Always aim to become better while surrounding yourself with others who want better in life as well.

Great Class on Monday. Anything taught by DDS is never THE way it's A way. All instructors have a different view or style of teaching and should avoid discrediting other instructorsas no one knows it all. Take what works for you. Criminal justice is an ever changing career field, so we as instructors must adapt. I appreciate the attendance. For the ones who attended a second time, they received scenario based training with our Red Man suit and had a blast. Was a great time on the Mats, in the Classroom and on the Range.

Congrats to Dorian Bryant on his win, aka _lightskin_tyson (Instagram). The new Middleweight Fury Championship Champion. Won by submissiom against a competitor who is a Brown belt in jiu jitsu. Dorian being a blue belt at House of JiuJitsu, he proved that the Belt doesnt make the Man. Standards. He is a Humble guy working hard in the gym and with a great coach Jacob Patrick Landin who helps him to constantly better his craft. A Pleasure to train with this guy and also spend some time on the Firing Range from time to time. More to come with this warrior. 👊🏾.

Note: Not all Level 3 Classroom instructors are certified Defensive Tactics Instructors so be aware of who signs you off. Just because one can doesnt mean they should. Court is real, techniques performed come with a liability

Eligibility and Training Requirements for Commissioned Security Officers and Personal Protection Officers

Effective January 1, 2024, HB 3424 requires:

• The handgun proficiency and self-defense course must include at least 10 hours and not more than 15 hours of in-person instruction
as part of the level III training for commissioned security officers and personal protection officers. (The self-defense tactics were previously included in the training material; HB 3424 makes it a requirement.)
