As of June 27th, 2022 we have officially rebranded from Massage Móvil to Nurture Massage Therapy. Our mission is to nurture the physical and emotional wellbeing of mothers and their families. We know how important it is for you and your family to feel supported during this crucial time, and we do this by offering therapeutic massage, meeting you wherever you are in your season of motherhood. We have a special focus on prenatal massage, postpartum massage and pediatric massage. We have a passion for educating mothers in any stage of motherhood on how best to help your body feel better. We also understand that community in motherhood is powerful, and we don’t want you to feel like you are moving through this on your own. This is why we strive to provide various avenues to cultivate community within the San Antonio area. Be sure to check out our Community Events calendar to learn more. Motherhood can be a difficult but beautiful season in a person’s life, and we are truly honored to have the opportunity to support those on this journey.

will be hosting a Mommy & Me Social Hour for new moms who want a relaxed place to connect, have a conversation, and get out of the house for a bit.

It’s always nice to see more resources and gatherings being created for postpartum moms in our community, and I’m happy to be able to share the space for this one.

✨ Mateo turned two this past week ✨

We celebrated with a Community Playdate at Mitchell’s Landing with tacos, donuts, bubbles and more. I invited family, friends and even extended the invite to clients as a way to connect in a fun way.

Seeing the moms talking, the kids playing together, and everyone just hanging out at the park was really special to witness. Building a sense of community has always been something that matters deeply to me, and getting to see it actually happen in real life meant a lot.

I’m so grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate with us and made the day feel so full. ❤️

But this space isn’t only for the physical work of motherhood, it’s for everything you’ve been holding too.

Here, you get to drop the weight for a while. No expectations, no judgment, just support, care, and room to be.

As mothers, we hold so much for everyone else. Here, you get to be the one that is held.

Sometimes the hardest part of this work is noticing what gets missed.

These are a few of the things I think about most and the quiet ways mothers are let down, and what I hope we can keep doing better.

The list might be long, but so is my patience, and my determination to change it.

✨ Preparing for labor, body + heart ✨

This mama came in for a Labor Prep massage with the hope of feeling calm, supported, and ready to meet her baby girl. Two days later, she went into labor, and her midwife called it one of the most intuitive births she had ever seen!

Being just a small part of her support team means the world and I’m so grateful she found value in our work together.

Every birth is unique, but preparing your body and creating space for ease can make such a difference. If you’re approaching the end of pregnancy and want to feel ready and supported, I’d be honored to hold that space for you.

✨ August in the treatment room ✨

Last month was full of stories that reminded me just how unique every body, every baby, and every season of motherhood really is.

Here are just a few of the amazing clients I had an opportunity to work with.

I saw a mom who was finally able to put on shorts without being in pain, a birth worker who needed self care after a long night of hip squeezes, a mama with a differently shaped uterus and breech baby, a returning client that utilizing not only chiropractic care but massage to help successfully turn her breech baby, and one of my favorite sessions where three generations of women were in one room, grandmother, mother and baby all held in this circle of care.

No two sessions are ever the same and they each carry their own wisdom, and each need their own kind of attention.

I’m so grateful for the trust each of you place in me to be part of these journeys.
